Ok, I've been giving this great thought, and I've come up with a plan to combat the item storage issues and vendor nerf.
I'll reitterate my vendor distribution and useage, to help clarify.
I'll also admit to using cross server lot swaps.
I specialize in furniture, and typically only make harvesters to order, or if I end up sitting on a load of resources.
6 vendors (I'm merchant 4-0-3-4 and climbing)
1 on Naboo- In a large house / gallery selling furniture and deeds. ~300 items
5 on Corellia-
4 in meduim house
1 with deeds - ~80 items
1 for offers, and special orders ~ few items, not map listed
1 for furniture sales - ~500+ items and growing
1 for crate storage and sales ~200 crates, all priced @ 10x single unit sale price
no non-sale items, or overpriced backpacks.
1 ina mall
New vendor, but she's growing. Over 600 single and crated furniture items.
I run 3 structure factories. I have 2 large houses, and a medium house.
The rest of the 30 lots are made up of an assortment of harvesters, some static, some not.
I've done quite well with this setup, I was happy.
I'll simply be forced to remove the storage vendor and move her to the mall to help me sell items there. Possibly the offer vendor too.
Then, all I'll have to do is to get 2-3 more cross server trades with artisans on other servers so I can place 10-15 small houses in a storage complex.
I won't be sacrificing a single item from my stock though. I may have to reduce what I stock for sale some, but I won't sacrifice my ability to do reasonable factory runs. I do 100-200 of each item that I run.. so that means 10-20 crates per run. That could be reduced to 1-2 crates if they would adjust the limit of crates to 100 units per.
