Let the chain reaction begin, thanks SOE.
What's messed up is these shops I went to frequently were people that helped me supply for my chef foods...
I think I'll stick around to see the chaos that will ensue... I can't leave yet anyways, helping run a guild, city, and have friends, be irresponsible for me to just up and leave.
I'm just hoping you know what you're doing, cause atm, it doesn't seem like you do SOE.
People that's closing their shop don't feel like waiting around to see what's going to happen (and I can't blame them). And even if it doesn't happen, you still will lose people for the fact that you even considered doing something like this, showing that a lot of people already lost their faith in you (I think I have already).
Sorry for the unconstructive post, but I'm just upset, just as many others.. and it's already starting a chain reaction.

I really disagree with this whole nerf. The econony of the game will get completely screwed. I was so happy that the hologrind was coming to an end, and there by fixing the economy and now this? This will ruin the game experience for alot of players either directly or indirectly- with so many other problems with the game that are not being fixed- why this?

The final nail on the coffin of this game.
Grats SOE, I'm finding another game...

Been seeing alot of stores closing already outside Coronet, and oddly the bazaar has gotten very empty besides JUNK (like CDEF rifles) and alot of selling off sales going on.
I used to be a merchant and am trying to help some guildies grind merchant for our trade city and already one lost interest after hearing about the changes, my town's armorsmith is shocked and our master architect/m artisan/m droidengineer can hardly keep his vendors stocked and hasn't logged on in days.
This change is pretty uncalled for, let's hope it doesn't go through on this morning's patch.

My business has been hit hard since the announcment of this patch. People are getting ready for this patch it seems or quitting. One of many reasons why I wish the devs would say something already. The sooner the better.

Excellent points. It seems SOE has decided that Socialism is a better economic system than free-market Capitalism because that is exactly what they are implementing. However, if they thought inflation was bad before the nerf, wait and see what happens when supply is artificially constrained by Big Brother. Same, or more, money chasing fewer goods always results in higher prices.
There is no logic behind this move!

Already seeing vendors disappearing on Valcyn. Went to Map last night and saw about 1/3 of the vendors that were there the day before. I can see a lot of merchants really hiking prices up if they stay and a lot of player cities vanishing with this, due to the costs running them hell take a look at the size of UAT on Valcyn what pays for it? MERCHANTS!!!!!
I say get rid of the bazaar, its useless now theres a 6k limit, give us the ability to buy as well as sell from NPC Vendors and the ability to do a search for specific items galaxy wide as Im sick to death of travelling from place to place to find a specific item and also travelling from planet to planet only to get there and find disappointment. Maybe turn the bazaar machines into just a search engine. I was thinking of becoming a Merchant, but aint gonna bother with that now. Hell I know a few people who arent even Merchants who are thinking of going back to EQ simply because of this. Devs wake the hell up stop wrecking things and read the massive thread on this in this forum and dont forget the fact that if it wasnt for Online Gamers SOE probably would exist after all they pay for it, which pays for your salaries so how about listening to them instead of driving them away. Sony has a massive cashflow and Im sure that they can afford to upgrade the databases and servers, if you can do it with Everquest then whats the problem doing it with SWG!! Just my two cents or should I say $30.00 AUD worth.

I removed 2 of my vendors last night and have been making arrangements to store the insane amount of items on my other vendors in various locations until something is decided. I cannot sit around and wait - then log in on a Tuesday with an announcement that this publish has gone live - that when I log in all of my things will be destroyed, missing or just not retrievable. No WAY - I have about 50 million credits worth of inventory sitting on my vendors, all things that I personally took the time to craft by hand, aside from my components crates everything I have on in my shop is individually crafted.. and this is just going to kill any hopes for crafters to make any money at all. Either raise the cap or lose half of your players/customers due to lost interest and frustration with this game. Why keep nerfing professions when there are so many obvious other problems to attend to. There are so many bugs in this game that it is laughable - why have they not been fixed? Because making our professions pointless and worthless is more important....
Bah - I hate to be so negative but this is just plain out STU-F'ING-PID! Not even in beta did I see such ignorant attempts to add "balance" to the game. Not even in Beta did I see so many problems... this should tell you something... THAT ALL OF US BETA PLAYERS WERE TELLING THE TRUTH WHEN WE TOLD YOU - SWG SHOULD NOT GO LIVE!!!! IT IS STILL TOO BUGGY... everyone thought we were complaining because none of us were ready to lose our "free" account - trust me most of us were being totally honest when we said that and had the right reasons for saying it. They are just adding another wound to the already battered creature that we call SWG... just let it die, put it out of its misery or take it to the vet! Something has to give and it needs to happen fast... people are leaving in droves...
