Thread: Change in merchant XP?

K, now I know not too long ago Tiggs was having a hard time getting a straight answer regarding the different ways merchant XP is gained. Then someone clickied the post to the merchant F.A.Q. and pointed out to her that one of the ways it is gained is by people browsing your vendors and not linked to purchases.
A friend and I have been helping a another friend try and get more merch XP by setting up a macro to browse (it goes excrutiatingly slow for him even though he has a thriving business.) He really has no interest in Jedi, but he wants an extra character for a combat class since he can't do anything combat related (He also couldn't afford another accout, we suggested that) and wants the extra lots for storage. He used to be able to cap merch XP in about 24 hours or so. Since the last patch, what 2 days ago, even with both of us running the browse macro, he has yet to hit the cap.
He went and checked the maintenance on all his vendors (he has one set up in a city mall somewhere as well) they are all paid up for at least 60 days. He has made sure there are items and a placeholder on each vendor and all vendors are up and running as they should be.
What do you guys think? Bug? Stealth nerf? Anyone else noticed or has run into this issue?

havnt run into this myself. As a new merchant i did notice the other day when i logged in after 2 days i was expecting my merchant xp to be up but it wasnt. I went to my vendors to get something off them and boom all the xp hit me at once i access one. I thought i was wierd but it was the only time this has happened to me.
