Well yesterday, after getting the capabilities to setting up my first NPC vendor and get rid of those ugly first two. Spent 30 minutes making a new NPC vendor, picking a place for it, and removing everything from the old vendor..............and then removed the vendor. Well after I then went looking for almost a million units of different over 900-OQ resources in my inventory to load into my brand new NPC vendor ........ only to realized that when you remove items from sale, they are moved to the storage room.
Yeah, you guessed it, I forgot to empty the stockroom before deleting that vendor! Arrggggg! I have no idea how many credits I lost with this noob mistake. And it's not like I didn't know about it either. Read all the stickies at the top before starting Merchant. Have been putting stuff on the bazaar for months. Should have known better! I guess you have to learn by your mistakes (I should be the smartest person in the world by now), even the expensive ones.

That's why I always click through all three tabs with the "This Vendor" option checked before I delete a vendor. You should also make sure the item filter is set to "All" when you do this.

Welcome to the party Dawgy. I know many of us have made the same mistake at some point in the past.

Luckily I did that in beta and still haven't forgotten. I am paranoid about removing vendors. I check every tab like 2 or 3 times to make sure nothing is left.

It happened to me the first time last week...I normally check twice before deleting, but didn't check at all this time, for whatever reason....*bang*....200 PSG's down the drain

That stinks. Sorry!
It's so easy to do, too -- even with the warning. Don't feel alone though -- many of us have done the same thing.

Don't get me started on it. How can each vendor have his own personal storeroom? All I have to say is they must come equipped with those space warping backpacks like the one I keep enough material in to build a house, yet carry on my back....

The Merchant Guild in the SWG universe has been using stolen TARDIS technology for ages now..

ah man. that sucks!
i had something similar happen.
I had 5 backpacks of stuff, some nice gens, harvestors, and loot, and I put it up on my vendor for storage. But when I retreived them, nothing was in any of the bags! It was just 5 backpacks. I was so bummed and mad. Some very nice stuff I had, all gone!

I've never done that with my stuff, but when I remodeled my vendors apparently some of my customers had left stuff on there for a couple weeks without retrieving it after buying em, hehe...so, they lost out, but I gave them a discount on their next equal purchase or a partial refund...felt bad, heh...
as for the Stock room, I don't think that it should be vendor specific as it is now...I think that the Stockroom should be Player specific as long as there is 1 vendor down...once all vendors are removed the entire stock room is also removed...would be a great addition, but we'll see...

We've all been there, I did the same sort of thing when I took all stock down from sale and thought I was putting up for sale on a new vendor in the same house. Then without thinking I destroyed the old vendor thinking it was empty, I didnt realise it just went for sale on the same vendor it was on before. Definately a steep and expensive learning curve.

It's kinda good to know that I'm not the only one to have done this, Thanks guys and gals!
Last night while moving some stuff around, I hit the sale button in the stockroom for 2 items. I thought that would put the items back on the vendor, but it didn't. And it wasn't in my inventory either. What happened it? Lucky it was only some cheap loot, but I have no idea what happened to the items.
