i know this is a common theme but i haven't been able to play for a few weeks due to RL and i have just logged in to play for the first time and i have 500+ items that have expired and need to be restocked. Any merchant recognises this frustration, but i guess i'm just irked that having been so jazzed about getting back ingame for the first time in ages that to have to deal with this crap.
is there any hope of this ever being changed, do we think, or are we stuck with this waste-of-time way of doing things forever.
sorry to be so negative, just a wee bit bummed

If I had to guess I would say it will change soon but That isn't based on any knowledge just the trend for where the game is going. Timesinks are out and fetaures that make things fun are in.

If we can't get one, I'd at least like to know why. Too hard to code, doesn't work with the database, a chicken ate the spreadsheet, whatever.

I can honestly report no dev has ever used a chicken to explain why something couldn't be done.

I always dread checking my mail when I log on after I've been away a bit, knowing I'll see a ton of e-mails letting me know that items have expired and now I'll have to go through and reprice/restock them.
What we need is a "restock" feature, where we could highlight multiple items in our stockroom, click "restock", and they would be put back on their vendor at the last sell price. While we're at it, I would love an option to turn off the e-mail notification everytime I pull something from a vendor or buy an offered item. It would cut down the clutter in my mailbox and save a little system traffic.

Today was restock day for me and my main parnter in my mall got on and had 100 items off the vendor asn as i put them back 100 more fell off.
To make matters even more interesting my partner was making a gun and auctioning it off for a very high price and a guy came into the store more or less demanding they she or I give him free armor
first person I banned in a long time restoking day is not the day to pester a merchant!

Well this just shows we have a lot of noob devs! The chicken scratched my spreadsheet is a classic manuever to stall in the software industry. ![]()

I am constantly having to fight to keep the chickens away from my spreadsheets.
I think they have some sort of nesting instinct and those cells look remarkably cozy.

My excuses all start out with the phrase: "The monkeys are really out of control today..."

Yes. Restocking is a repetitive-stress inducing beast. But a restock feature has been the top of the charts for things we want for a loong time. So when ever heck freezes over and they start on these "Non-combat" revamps, I'm hoping we'll get it then. But it'd SURE make a nice "bone" to throw the profession, as they say they've got a team doing.
