Thread: Entry Fee XP question
Don't worry about it being a holo profession. If you're cool with taking a month and letting the exp run it's course, you will be a Master Merchant.
I decided to open a holo before I did my career change and dropped Master Doctor to see what this holo madness was all about, and I got Master Merchant. I figured I would try it out, and I am glad I did. It's pretty fun! I wouldn't have tried it otherwise.
I'm a Pistoleer, so I don't have much to sell, but I have relearned Scout and find that meat, hides and bones of good quality sell well. So, I am basically running an organics vendorand a loot vendor by Theed, and I keep the rest ofmy vendors locked in my home's basement. ![]()
I've never put an entry fee on a building, and I hit Master Merchant in less than a month (and 90% of the time I had 2 - 3 vendors up only)
That's the best plan. I am going to have the two active vendors, and then I am continuing up Management until I have all 6 vendors. The four extra vendors should net about 14,400 exp a day ifI understand correctly. I will then get the advertising so I can get my shop on the global map, then do efficiency to reduce the costs, and then finish up the rest.
Check out Draznar's merchant guide, sticked at the top of the forum. It is loaded with good Merchant info.
You get 50 XP per visitor per house for Entry Fee. A fee is a fee, and the amount charged does not increase exp.
I would put the fee on houses your friends can enter and help you with. I found that once I removed the 1cr fee from my shop, it seems to have really increased browse traffic. I am actually selling stuff now. ![]()
