Is there a way to see the total amount of items on all my vendors anywhere? For some reason i just took off a ton of items off one vendor, and started moving them to another and i am getting a message saying my limit is reached. BUT these items were all on my othervendor not more than 20 minutes ago. I just want to see how they total items across the galaxy. They must have this mystical number handy as it gives you a message when you reach it but you have no clue you are there until you get said message.
So is there a request already in to get a total number visible for items across ALL vendors?

Open the interface of one of your vendors, choose to view all items and choose the hole galaxies. Then use the next page function until you have last page and se the number of items shown... for example 3800 - 3895 or what ever. the last of thoughts two numbers are you total item count.
(please excuse any inaccuracies, I am writing this from memory.)
By any chance, did you surrender any merchant skills lately? If so you total max nr of items could have dropped. (I am not insinuating anything here, I am just crossing the t'es and doting the i's here

The only way to get a true count is to check the "Status" of each vendor individually.
Looking at the number on the "whole galaxy" display will only work if you don't have any items in packs.
Items in packs count against your limit but the packs do not.
Empty packs count as one item.

hey elyssa here is another issue to bring before the all powerful devs .. would it be possible for them to add a "total vending items" number underneath te number for the currently viewed vendor. example: I check status on vendor A which has 1200 items listed ... i have 3 other vendors and my total number of items on my vendor = 3500, which is then displayed under the number for the currently viewed vendor. As this is the only way to see exactly how many items you are selling, it would be very beneficial. I am lucky in the fact that all my vendors are under the same roof if i ever needed to check my item count, it wouldnt be that difficult for me. However I do know that there are several ppl who have vendors in different houses/cities/planets where this would be an extremely helpful tool.

I'm actually working on recompiling the "top issues" list so we can look over it and revise it before I shoot it off to the Devs again. Hopefully work will slow down enough this weekend that I can get the list finished on company time.
They're working on a LOT of things very quickly lately (some of which you're really gonna like) and if we can slip some "easy fixes" to them, there's no telling just how much we can get done.

okay, if you cant disclose specifics, at least clarify ... are we talking about merch stuff specifically at this point?

There are a LOT of things in the works.
Some of it will be beneficial to merchants.
That's why I want to get the top issues list revised so it'll be fresh on their minds while they're in the mood to change things.

I'm pretty sure that 99.7% of merchants named Dimear would list the low item cap at master merchant as a pretty important issue. Either increasing the item cap or allowing a container that could hold resources and count as 1 item on the vendor should be part of our merchant platform.
I think that we as merchants need more political power over the devs. Make SWG more like real life - where merchants actually create the rules that govern society. I'll be happy to go around kissing babies if you think it'll gain us some more political power (except for Rodian babies - they freak me out a little).

I had the same thing happen to me tonight. I took stuff out of my overstock vendor, went to move it piece by piece onto another vendor, and halfway in I got the "item limit reached" message, despite still having most of the bag in my hand. Since items in bags now count against your total, I wasn't sure how this was possible, but needless to say, I'm juggling here.

I did not drop any skill points, i am still master merchant. I just wanted to move items from one vendor to another and ended up only being able to move approx. 2/3 of them. rest did not fit on new vendor.
As for the total item count, it HAS to be easy to code as they must be getting a total when you try and add an item and says you are at your limit. Granted I haven't seen any SWG code, so I could be wrong!
I would like to get this added to the list of Merchant "wants" in the near future as they are the ones who added the cap to begin with, which i agree on. But along with this cap should be ways to pack like items together to sell to a customer without taking up soo many slots on your precious vendors.
