Thread: Moving/Rotating Vendors?
you may want to use the commands /rotate left/right <angle> ie: /rotate left 90. also /move forward/back <number>
I don't think you can move after initializing, and even before initializing you get an error. Someone posted in another thread that you can move if you enable ad barking.. haven't tested that.
As for rotating, you may notice that the vendors rotate to face the person they talk to (with ad barking)/ interact with. So it's kind of impossible to keep them facing the way you want.
Yup ... same here ... past few weeks (maybe more) ... I have to use the radial dial command to move/rotate ... the written cmommand was ignored.

Did they change this back recently because I remember being able to do that early on but lately I haven't been able to use the move command at all. Even before initializing. Maybe it was a temporary thing or maybe I am just having a bad memory day but my impression is that they removed the abillity for you to move the vendor around. You have to pick it up and drop it again if you don't like where it is.
Yea if you have adbarking on they will constantly fact the wall as they bark to people running by outside. On one hand it is cool that they try to entise passers by to come in and look around, but having them face the wall is annoying. I rotate mine back whenever they are like that but it doesn't stay long if they are barking. They should rotate back to the front immediately when someone comes into the room in my opinion.
WHen you first place the vendor (but before you initialize) you can also use the radial command that allows you to MOVE the vendor ... either forward or back or to rotate. As others have mentioned, once it is initialized, it is locked into place.
And as others have mentioned, if you have ad barking activated for that vendor, expect him/her to be facing all kinds of directions. ![]()

Ok. I'll test this today or tonight more completely because I am going to replace one of my vendors. I didnt' try using the radial menu to move. I can rotate my vendors without any problem most of the time. Sometimes they seem to be too busy to comply (probably busy figuring out what to do with all that 7 day old stock room stuff they are embezzling) but usually they eventually wake up and rotate back the way I want them. But I can't move them even before initializing any more. I just pick them up and put them back down if I dont' like where they are standing.
