Thread: If you sell Business III after placing a vendor does it go away?

Stupid question I know, but I figure this is the best place to ask. I assume that if I place a vendor and then sell down to Business II (no more Vendor +1), that my vendor will be gone.

Is this correct?

Remove all your stuff and backout of the skill. See what happens. I suspect it will remain there. But be warned, I consider this a bug/exploit and will bring the issue up in one of our lists, so it may vanish without warning.

This is a know exploit. Yes it does remain. Many artisans are using this. It will be interesting to see what happens when they fix this.

They will fix this eventually... It is exactly like the surveying exploit from Beta where you would level up to Survey IV, set all you survey tools to the max range and then surrender the skill... your survey tools kept the long range scan radius... It was fixed and now when you surrender your survey skills, all your survey tools reset to the shortest range...

Soon when you surredner Hiring skills, it will run a check on your vendors and either 1) remove them (harsh), or 2) downgrade their appearance to a robo bartender or other npc (what I suggest they do)

It is conceivable that someone could surrender a Hiring skill and really not know that the NPC vendor that have was granted to them by that... If they didn't actually create a vendor until later on, for example...

It is EXPLOITABLE, but I wouldn't call it an exploit unless someone does it on purpose.

That is why I think they should make vendors lost to surrendered skills simply defaut to the big bulky vendor or the Robo Bartender or something.

I think you should get a warning when you try to give up a skill that will result in the loss items. Then those items should go away when you confirm that you are sure.

I wouldn't tryto profit by the exploitthough. I waschattingwith a CSR the other night about exploits and he mentioned off that this one should be fixed in the next patch or two andI shouldwarn anyone I knew using it, cause it was going away shortly.

There, I'vewarned. I did my bit.
