Thread: What is a control vendor?

I hit Novice Merchant last night and the skill tree tells me I get n NPC vendor and control vendors.

What is a control vendor and how do they differ from the NPC vendor? I don't see any place to make a control vendor either.

I assume there are talking about the droid vendor.
