Hi everyone,

I've just started novice merchant and have noticed my merchant xp increasing at about 150 points per hour played. with 1 merchant. However, I am not getting any xp when people look at or purchase items from my vendor. I've tested this by having my wife's char buy things from my merchant etc.

I was curious as to what the rate of xp was for purchases from the vendor or when that xp is given (ie at the time of purchase or once they close the vendor and are done looking)

any help would be appreciated thank you very much in advance

Check around for a thread a couple of weeks ago that did an exhaustive study on what creates XP.

Basically:

* You get 150 XP per hour per vendor

* You get 50 XP when someone looks at a vendor but only the first time per ever hour or so

* You get 50 XP per visitor if you charge an Entry Fee

* You get NO XP for purchases ... none ... zip

* XP software is horribly HORRIBLY broken ... enjoy it while you can. It will spontaneously stop for days then spontaneously restart. I have been stuck at the same XP for over a week even with 5 vendors and tons of visitors.

Hope that helps

I've had spurts of XP show up while I'm logged off, but I NEVER see any hourly XP while logged in. I do see XP when I know someone has looked at my vendor's wares.

It's wonky. In addition, I've noticed that it generally takes much longer for me to get, say, 1K XP compared to three weeks ago. I started doing bug reports back then due to the fact that it was a noticeable change.

However, I only ever got 50 XP per hour back when it WAS showing up, so I'm not entirely sure what's going on. I have had 2 vendors running since the first week of my setting up shop.

I guess you can watch it and start tracking it, then submit a bug report detailing what you're experiencing. I think I'm going to just make that part of my daily schedule. (I use an email to myself so that I note the time RIGHT before I log. Guess I'll note the time of the email to myself, plus note when I'm writing the bug report, do the math (approx. X per hour, according to my calculations), then send that off.
