I have a shop that is quite busy, unfortunately as a BE my SP are at a premium. None of my roots are in artisan which I need to get resources andnone arein combat which I need to get DNA. I am trying to get my master BE but would still like to keep my shop running as it is my biggest source of income.

Here are my questions:

Is the vendor limit per building or overall?

If I give admin right's to my building can another player add a vendor to it?

If a player has a vendor in my building (or a building I have admin to) can I sell things on it without merchant skills?

If I can use another players vendor do I get paid for my items that are sold?

If I do get paid for my items does the owner of the vendor get a commission?

If the main concept of these questions is not true, it should be. Why else would merchants be in the game then. You should make a commission on every sale through one of your vendors. It doesn't make sense for me to have to give everything to a vendor to sell for me and then try and collect the money later. I hope this works the way it should.

You have no rites to vendors placed in your shop by another person whom must be admin'd to be able to place, vendors can not be "admin'd" to another person, vendors can not be stocked by any other than the owner.

No limit on how many vendors placed within a house.

If a player has a vendor in my building (or a building I have admin to) can I sell things on it without merchant skills? Sort.... You can offer items to the vendor and then he can relist them. Realy the merchant would be doing the selling.

If I can use another players vendor do I get paid for my items that are sold? No, all goes to owner of vendor.

If I do get paid for my items does the owner of the vendor get a commission? See above.

We would love something like this.

You can have vendors in one building up to the limit of items allowed in that building.

My guild has an indoor shopping mall (most of us are craftman of one sort or another) and our large house is lined one end to the other with vendors (every member of the guild that is a craftman is required to have at least one vendor in the mall).

I think some of you miss-understood my questions but I got the gist. Let's see if I'm right.

Anyone can place a vendor in a building they have admin rights to. Vendors can not be used by other players other than the owner. Your vendor limit is total not per building, contrary to the message you get when you try to go over the limit which says "you have reached your limit of vendors for this building".

This is plain WRONG! A merchant should be a master of selling items. This means they should be able to provide this service to other players. Each player that wan'ts a weapondoesn't have to become a weaponsmith. I don't think it would be difficult for vendors to have the ability to have a sellers list, similar to harvestors. The owner of the vendor would make a commision on each sale, this could be set by the owner of the vendor or by some default which increases with a Merchant's level in say Advertising.

The current system may work fine for the traditional crafters whose roots are in Artisan. They don't even need to spend SP in merchant just keep their artisan skills. Normal crafters all have one pre-requisite class and pre-requisite skill, no master required. Us BE's are screwed as crafters. We have 2 pre-requisite class's with 2 skills. We require extra scout / combat / CH skills in order to collect our resources. Not the same as needing protection to go maintain your harvestors. We need to collect DNA of of big bad ugly MOB's, and the better we get at it the more they attack us. And we need to have surveying skill in order to collect our flora resources. To top that all off if we want to actually sell something (as a crafter you would think this is mandatory) we need to have more artisan / merchant skills.
