When I first become a novice merchant ( not long ago ) I was surprised to find that selling items at my vendor did not give me XP. In fact the most experience seemed to come from just having Vendors.

So I have 1 Vendor selling things and ( currently 3 ) in the basement unused.

I am just going straight up the Managment line to add more vendors to my unused collection in the basement for now to gain XP faster. Is this a valid tactic? Am I making a mistake?

thats what most do... more vendors mean more xp.. well when its working anyway... 150 xp times # of vendors per hour is the rate. so you will get xp faster with mroe merchants. most of the other skills are broke anyhow so might as well just go up the management line like you are.
