Never tried, xp came just fine from normal business operations in my experience.

I do know that the two or three times I've come to shops set up like this, I've moved on...

Oddly enough, my shop doesn't have an access fee, but my home does. I put on the sign "Step inside to donate 1 credit and 50 Merchant XP."

However, since you don't get emailed when someone pays the fee, there's no real way to track it.

I was kinda figuring it would be cool to setup some sort of Museum, full of rare and interesting stuff, and then charge people to enter it / advertise it everywhere.

'Course I don't have the resources to set this up (get a PA Hall to put stuff in , get the stuff to put in it, etc)

I saw this place, it was on the beach on naboo and the sign said something like "Someone's hotel resort and cantina"

The cost to enter was 15! I would really like to go in, but architect burns all my cash and im broke

I was wondering if anyone had a pay-to-enterbuilding that was pulling in good exp...

I am not talking about paying other people to enter a pay to enter building, I'm talking a pay-to-enter building that exists in its own...

I had a 1 credit access fee until I got enough XP to place more vendors.

And stop and think about it.

If they're too freakin cheap to pay 1 credit, are they going to spend that much once they get inside???

Someone had some guy screaming "How dare you charge me to enter your shop!!!"
To which he replied, "I set all prices on my vendors 1 credit less to make up for the entry fee."
The guy believed him......

DUH!

"When Sony and Lucas set out, we said, How can we do this and not make another EQ? We didn't want it to be all about Luke, or combat, or lock our players into a class. So we created a system that would allow players to switch professions during the game, and there would be a lot of gameplay around making that change. If you want to go from architect to scout we've created a system to make that happen."

I set up a Naboo Small Style 2 with a vendor right next to the guild hall. Set an access fee of 1 credit, put a few inexpensive trinkets on the vendor, and just asked my fellow guild members to step inside as they went past, just to give me the experience. They were quite obliging, and the XP went up regularly from their visits.

Don't let the negative AFKophobes get you down. Play the game however you want.

Is the beta testing almost over for this game?

I once paid 15 credits to enter a house, to look for resouces. The vendors (thats right more than one). Were both empty. Pissed me off. I will never again pay to go into a house
