I sell various things for my guildmates both for a profit and non-profit for the guild. I resell resources all the time.
Dingoboi has an energy empire that he runs by paying other players to supply him with power that he sells. There are unddoubtedly many others who do sell things for others.
Yes we've been over this again and again. And why on earth would you think that coming to the merchant forum and proposing that we close the joint down be met with a lot of support?

And yeah I have and still sell other people stuff. I would sell much more if I had more vendors available as well.

Was not expecting support, was looking for feedback, on Gorath, I have not, nor has anyone I have talked to been able to make a merchant contact that sold anything other than their own wares. I was simpley trying to help all crafters if this profession was more in the way then usefull, if people are doing what merchant was designed to do, then I applaud you, and will pull my post. If people are doing this and enjoy it great!
In which case I would instead propose the following:
Could we ask for some sort of tracking system, or a way to set upa commsion system, so that upon purchase funds are disbursed appropriatleyor you must go to the vendor to pick up your portion, I would support either. Also I think that Merchants should be able to rent out vendors 25-50 that for a fee could be used by any elite master crafter (including MBE & MD). They could be placed by the merchant, handled by the renter, however the merchant would be the one to set up the initial daily/ hourly rental fee or commission percentage that would of coarse be visable to the renter prior to initilizing. They would then only be able to register on the map for a high maintence cost, and all NCP vendor programming and dressing would have to be done pre initalization by the merchant. Then the contract would be ended by the removing of the vendor by the renter. Also you could charge just for setup and installation.
Would this be paletable to most here?

i have two seperate accounts i use for my tailoring business,
one is the master tailor, the other handles the merchant side of things.
i really enjoy crafting my materials, and selling them aswell.
infact 90% of my characters job is in the merchant business.
i take pride in what i do and what i sell, there are some who place
vendors just to sell junk however.

That's great, if you enjoy both, under normal circumstances I have a problem with people having multiple accounts, because it derails the economy, and eliminates dependancy. Most do this out of greed or lack of finding people to depend on, on Gorath I have yet to find a merchant, much less someone who re-sells. So I had to pick up the skill myself at the exspense of combat.

It has yeah. Now, at least you only suggest that elite crafters get vendors, and not everyone, so I'm not to mad at you

Thank you all for your input, i do implore you to consider my suggestion of a sticky merchant list at the top for people to find you to supply for you.
