Thread: ANY other Merchant having problems with customers recovering items?

Hey


Just wondering if anyone is having reported problems about their vendors? I've had two people talk to me now that their items did not appear in their inventory nor on the vendor. I told both to file tickets and I refunded one person their money (only 6k). Just wondering if anyone else is getting reported errors? Two cases out of around 50 ain't bad. Just wondering if anyone else has heard of this issue recently

I've had it happen to me4 times.Three timeswith customers trying to recover materials from my vendors, once with me trying to recover things from a vendor. I haven't had it happen enough to spot any kind of a pattern, it just seems completely random.


I even had one customers purchase come back into my stockroom as a "recovered item" that I was able to pull off myself. Still haven't figured out how that one happened.


CSR's will give the missing materials to the purchaser (if they aren't in a pack) if they'll fill out a ticket. When filling out the ticket, it's important to do a few things:


1. Wait 24 hours before filling it out, otherwise you'll just get told to wait 24 hours and then make a comment on your original ticket.


2. When filling out your ticket 24 hours later, make sure you mention that you've already waited the 24 hours so you don't get the canned response.


3. Mention what the problem is, and include what you bought specifically, the price and the location of the vendor you purchased it at.

I've had this 4 times already. The item does not reappear in my stockroom (which is does when the inventory of the customer is full), it just vanishes. The first 3 items weren't that expensive, but when someone buys a painting of 400K and it disappears, you can understand the customer isn't very happy (although the customer handled it very nice though). I don't know if it's related, but I think it happened after the Devs implemented that auto-retrieve function into the game. At least, I didn't have these problems before that.


But it'sgood to know the CSR's can do something about this. I will let the painting customer know what he can do to get his item back.

Yup. It's happened many many times. However, sending a ticket in gets the item back because there is a record of the purchase.

Thanks all, never really happened before and I thought SoE might have fixed this bug b/c I hadn't seen it in awhile. Just making sure it still exists

I've only had one customer tell me this happened to them, and that was a few weeks ago. I don't know if their inventory was full at the time or not.

Happened to me buying radio power for my harvs last week, I went and bought 10 100k blocks and when I checked my inventory, I only had 8 of them... And no, my inventory was not full at the time.

This just happened to me twice in the last week.


1st instance was a friend offered a bunch of resources (800k)to my vendor and when I bought them it took my money and the resources and I got a message stating something like "The item could not be retrieved because it is not available".


I petioned and got a favorable response from the CSR's, they are going to replace my lost resources because they said there was a record of the purchase and a "serious error" occured and I was able to provide a detailed list of what I lost.



The 2nd instance happened 2 nights ago when a customer tried to buy 4 custom acklay stun batons from my vendor and it ate his money (2 million credits) and the batons.


He petitioned and the CSR's said tough luck because the batons were in a bag. I plan to petion as well,but can't until my 1st instance/petition is closed. I felt bad, but I couldn't do anything, my customer was understanding towards me, but claims this wasn't the first time something like this had happend to him and will probably quit the game beacuse of it.


Update: The CSR's replaced my customers 2 million credits he lost, my missing 800k of various resources were sitting in my housewhen I logged on, and my 4 acklay batons showed up in the stock room of my vendor in a bag marked "restored item" after the server reset. My customer and I did a manual exchange instead of relying on the vendor this time. The CSR's were very timely, friendly and helpful and we are both happy.

Had this happen to me not 20 mins agao & I filed my ticket immediately!!! I don't wanna hear about waiting a day or more for my items that I need to craft with. Customers want their goods today or will find someone who has the item on a vendor. I'm tired of the return tells/email "Sorry you got bugged. I bought my speeder from the vendor next store..."



After shuffling thru all the 'steel' listings I found the type I was looking for to runmy swoop - 97% schematic. I withdrew 4 - 100k stacks of some very nice steel I have from my vendor. received the email confirming the withdrawal of sale. Only 1 stack of steel showed in the stockroom & none in my inventory. i checked the item count on the vendor & 4 items were indeed withdrawn from sale. Has anyone else run into this problem?


<sigh> Why play the day of a patch? There's always problems..............

yep - just lost 200k of iron that I withdrew from the vendor to make some bikes for a customer. Told him I lost the iron but that I had submitted a ticket and he said "np, I need them fairly quick so I'll go elsewhere, sorry for the trouble and hope you get your stuff back".


Damn I hate this game after a big patch.

Ya know what I think part of the problem is.... numbers.


Next time you log onto the professions boards look at the total number of posts for merchants & for Jedi & the merchant board has been around how long?


*sigh* So much for keeping the professions happy. Me & my 7 accounts should just cancel & take my REAL LIFE MONEY!!! elsewhere.
