Primarily my family does resouring and we do a lot of it. The recent bugs stand to inpact our business level tremendiously.
So - we sat down thought about and came up with a work around.
Here is what we are planning on doing:
using labled packs for any resouces sold. This bug inpacts crated good as well - but at least you can SEE what the crate is beyond "food" to have a look at the inspection menu.
We'll be following this lableing set up:
Mineral - copper - polysteel - 100k - all stats.
because the item itself will be bagged it's going to require listing all stats out in the label.
Obviously the potential for exploiting customers is vast - but really no different the the bug currently allows - there is nothing stopping anyone from selling multiple stacks at a good CPU and then slipping in a short stack at the same pricing - nothing beside our desire for a good rep and repeat business that is.
*most* merchants have a sense of self perservation if not a scrupples. Until this issue is adressed - this is the best method i can think for informing customers what's for sale at a glance.
hope it helps - bump this if you like the add - add your own thoughts if you've come up with another method of dealing with Pub 9.

Man that sounds like a lot of work. This is already becoming more of a job then my real job. I think I'll just on my thumbs a while and hope...

Cancelling my accounts is starting to be a viable alternative to this rubbish.

Wouldn't it be easier and just as reliable to put that data in the "seller's description of item" field?

There's no excuses. none none at all no no no someone messed up realllly bad and should be searching out a new job.

I'm more interested in when it's going to be fixed at this moment, and for the time being, I'll just let things stay on my vendor as they are.

As others have already said... it's a whole lot of extra work to work around a stupid STUPID bug that should never have gone live in the first place.
