Thread: Problems with XP updating

I am working on mastering Merchant and have an issue where vendor XP only updates when someone clicks on my vendor. So for example several hours pass and then assuming no one else has clicked on my vendor and then I do it, voila I have several thousand points of XP(cause it was not automatically updating). I am not asking for help on that anymore because I will just deal with it since I will be Master in a few days. The point that I wanted to make is that I have an open ticket and the CSR that just responded said that vendor XP gained per hour "is a myth" and that you only receive XP when someone clicks on your vendor. What's up with that?

I think it's got something to do with the way they changed it so that vendors only give you xp when they're actually 'loaded into the world.'
That means that if nobody is in your shop, your vendor is stuck in limbo and doesn't give you xp.
Then when it finally gets loaded (by you or someone else) it catches up on all the xp/hour that was missed while it was in limbo.

Nah sometimes CSRs just dont have a clue. You get 150? xp an hour per vendor up.. the thing is, the vendor has to load for it top count the xp so if for several hours it may seem like you arent getting any of this xp. Once the vendor gets loaded however it updates sicne the last time and you get a large "block" of xp at once..which you actually earned over time. You also get xp for people checking the vendor and one also for access fees... I had a similar experience grinding out merchant for my city's aniversy event.

Thanks for the info. It is unnerving to get such incorrect information from "Customer Support".
