Hopefully someone in game development will see this post...
INCREASE THE MAX MERCHANT EXPERIENCE PLEASE!!!
80k experience I can make in one day!
I am master merchant/high lvl architect and have next to ZERO combat skills....
when I get knocked off my speeder trying to redeem my EXP for FS points...
I usually DIE!
games are suppose to be FUN... dieing isNOT FUNwhen trying to redeem experience for only 80k at a time!

Just a tip. If you want someone to take your issue seriously. Kill the use of huge text and the inclusion of off topic irrelevent details about your financial decisions.

Daily trips to the village are currently the bane of my existence.
I'd kept my newbie insurance for a year and a half until I started making these trips, and the month of December was a fatal one for me.
Do I think it's fair when compared to comat professions? No. And don't even get me started on the architect conversion rate.
However, rational discussion will go a lot farther than emotional outbursts.

Truly, take Doc's advice.
It could be worse, you could have to grind medical crafting for the FS crafting experience. I think the cap is 26k or something silly like that.

Sad when you play the game for a year and still run away from worrts and rills.
FS redemption should vary on location depending on combat skill.
just a TAD unfair.

Cafa,
At least with doc grind you can sit at the village without having to fly back to home planet to relist vendor items....
just fill the backpack with all your supplies needed buffs heals etc.
You will last longer and convert more exp points doing that than burning time, gear, traveling and credits to and from praying not to get aggro'd to relist stuff on vendors.
myroutine when I am on (not very often anymore) usually consists of:
-repost ended items at 2 locations on tatooine (near mos espa)
-check harvestors (upkeep) (tatooine / Desert Flower Commune)
-Pay someone to fend off aggros (usually squills) or at least speeder around keeping the preoccupied
-repost bazaar auctions/ads (Corellia / Cnet)
THEN
if not too tired or aggrevated from the above...
get a cheap HEALTH and ACTION buff just to sit at the village for 7 days until the bazaar auctions end to repost them again in Cnet
if I am REALLY REALLY lucky i make it to the village on first trip without getting aggro'd knocked off and killed.
I can understand having max caps on the tiers progressing to master... but once you reach master there should be NO limit to exp...

I Don't fight, I dont craft anymore... not enough time to do any of it with vendors, harvies and dathomir village squating.
seems to me...
more crap I have as master merchant more lag.... (vendor items and full homes)
I have 2 other toons on 2 other servers
1 with half as much crap less laggy than on sunrunner
the other toon has next to nothing and has the least lag.
must be database issues.. more junk=more lag

Man I feel your pain. But let me point out that Fivo has NEVER had any combat whatsoever, yet I go to the village every 2 days to turn in my merchant XP, which happens to be the ONLY form of senses FS XP I have to convert too.
Have I died? Sure I have. Do I go there wearing my crafting clothes or anything important that I cannot replace. Never.
Don't get too worked up over the small stuff, you'll have a happier life.

Before the village came along it was a dandy system, but I do think it's something that needs to be addressed now that there is actually a use for surplus xp.
I think the conversion rate is fine since you can't significantly influence the rate that you gain xp like a combat character can but the xp cap makes village runs as big a chore as relisting hundreds of items.

As you stated in your last post to this thread..

with this in mind.... if the devs make changes to the way one becomes jedi then they should also consider making changes to how one accumulates experience points that must be redeemed for FS points...
Especiallywith theweak, feeble, class professions that have little to no combat skills and have to sit on their duff at the village.
With regards to the comment about "...roughly based on the amount of xp you need for the highest skill box you can currently attain..."
This is not true with FS conversion.
I need approximately 250k for my next FS tier.... but can only redeem 80k merchant~20k FS... that is the bind I am in...
If the max WAS "roughly based" on the amount needed then my MAX merchant should be oh... what... 1,000,000 merchant experience?
Not the pathetic 80k max currently allowed.
(The 250k FS exp is for tier slot 2 mind you)
Maybe the Death Star should just BLOWUP Tatooine then I would have nothing left to worry about.

I didn't say they shouldn't consider it. I said it was that way for a reason that had nothing to do with Jedi.
What are you talking about? The max level has nothing whatsoever to do with Jedi. The max level of 80k is based on the fact that the max you need in the Merchant profession for a skill box is 40k so you are able to store enough for two tier IV boxes. This is pretty standard for how other professions work as well though there are exceptions.

Course you don't have to leave the villiage at all to collect your merchant xp so there is that trade off. I happen to think its out of balance myself but the limits for XP were not created for the village they have existed since original SWG beta for other reasons and are roughly based on the amount of xp you need for the highest skill box you can currently attain. Its just more important now because of the changes to the Jedi.
