this has been brought up several times, however, i think it needs to be addressed and given some sort of "how it works" thought.
Item Data Disc
Crafted by M.Art or M.Arch
Single Use Item (one complete load and unload)
Would "self-destruct" upon complete unload
This would take up 1 inventory slot.
Items removed from a vendor (without withdraw of sale) or structure could be stored on an IDD.
Rather than having to remove/retrieve all items from vendors and structures there would be an option to place all items onto an IDD. If you do not have an IDD in your inventory, you will recieve a system message of "you are unable to complete this request: no data found" or something of the like
Used through a vendor, there would be an optionon the vendor management functions to upload an IDD. Once the IDD was"uploaded" into a vendor, the items on the vendor would automatically relist at their previous listed price/description at the rate of 1 per second.
Used on a structure, there would be an option on structure management terminals to "upload IDD". Once this was done, all the items would "drop" into the house near the SMT at the rate of 1 per second. You would have to completely redecorate your house, but at least you wouldnt have to fight to move across the galaxy anymore.
IDD's could only be held in top level inventory and could not be traded.
IDD's would have a 30-day shelf life once loaded. If you do not "upload" the IDD into a vendor or a structure within 30 days, the IDD will self destruct along with any items on it.

Something like that would have saved me many trips those times I was moving from Talus to Lok and then back again. All before JTL and the five minutes starports so it was a half an hour one way trip.
The 30 day timer has the potential to prevent abuse. The only really big problem I see is when items were unloaded into a house. 250 items stacked on top of each other in front of the house terminal would be a real mess to sort out.

yes, but you would have to weigh the benefits vs. the set backs ... do you want to figure out how to get all that stuff from dant to naboo and how many containers/trips its going to take, or do you just want to pick up and get it there. either way, you have to redecorate ... and once its there, you could sort it out into packs for easier redecorating.

Maybe the items could be deposited in a backpack, or furniture that stores items?

that would be nice but i think it might be a bit too much info ...
another solution would be to maybe implement a house storage compartment ... lets put the storage compartments that go into the crafting of the deed to work ...
let there be a function on the SMT .... "Storage" where the items would be loaded into rather than dropped?
