Thread: Retrieval error, are my items gone forever?

Earlier today I looted a gunman's duster with +12 armor experimentation AND +6 weapon experimentation on it. Needless to say I was overjoyed with this. Once my buff session ran out I put the duster with a couple other looted items in a cargo pocket so I could retrieve them with my merchant/armorsmith for sale/use. I had 44/60 in my inventory and no more than 10 items in the cargo pocket. Well, it got stuck on the retrieving of the item. Before logging I submitted a ticket about it.
After logging i came back and the "retrieving 1 item" text was removed from my vendor but of course my items where nowhere to be found. I submitted another ticket but does anyone else know of anything I can try?
Are my items lost forever? This is a huge loss for me and frankly I don't even know if I want to continue playing. What's even worse is that I have had a +25 rifle speed/+22 armor experimentation clothing tape stored for more than 6 months in anticipation that I would somehow get the experimentation to stick. I mean, they have to have safeguards against an issue like this, correct? I did a check on this forum in regards to this issue and their were threads dating back from 11/03 mentioning this issue. I still can't believe a bug like this is still active in this game.
If anyone knows anything else I may try please respond. Thank you.

If an item disappears when attempting to retrieve it from a vendor just submit a ticket. I had a bag full of crystals vanish while attempting to retrieve them. After submitting a ticket a CSR returned them to my inventory. Just took a day or two. No worries.

My CSR experiences are getting much better these days.
Remember, polite, to the point, include waypoint of the vendor, include the ingame name of the toon that offered to the vendor and the vendor toon.

You were lucky..during a lengthy discussion with a csr, he told me that such "lost" items can only sometimes be found...he helped me the best he could, but in the end the items were simply gone.

Well, I did finally get a response. The CSR told me that he could verify my loss but didn't recover anything. I am fairly upset because this was what was in the particular satchel.

That item alone was worth at least 20 million on my server, probably more. This is simply unacceptable and poor management on their part. How am I supposed to reliably use my vendors for fear that something like this could happen again? I have played since day 3 or so and haven't had much to complain about in the game so far. That has changed.
I did recieve 1 million credits which was the purchase price of the offered item. The funny thing is that is the amount I was just trying to transfer to my other account,the one I looted this duster from. Oh well, its just a game I suppose. I guess I can just chalk this up with this horrible tease from Sony.
