Just hit my limit again. And I have another 1000 items I need to load. And I'll need to restock again in a few days.
Packs of stuff like resources and armor should count as 1 item. I'm selling a kit of resources for 1 lightsaber to someone, but it counts as 8 items on my vendor. If I could make the weapon for them and sell them the 1 item, I would. So I'm limited to a crappy 500 items on my vendor. 10 different types of lightsaber kits - 50 each. That sells out fast. So I have to restock every few days. SOE is wasting my time. It's getting old. Worst part is they don't want to do anything to reduce the time it takes to be a merchant. I'm stuck at crappy master merchant just so I can have up to 500 items on my vendor. Yay. I think I have to work harder just to play the game than they do to make it.

Just curious, but what exactly is in one of your kits?
I've had an idea for something that could solve a problem like this butI don't knowif the devs would consider it or if it's even possible.

Inside each kit are all the resources needed to make 1 lightsaber. For instance, a "Lightsaber kit, 1st gen, double bladed" would include exactly the right amount of resources to make 1 first generation double bladed lightsaber. Each lightsaber takes 3-5 different resources plus 2 "refined crystal packs". I can't make the "refined crystal packs" either, so I include the resources needed for them as well. They are made from copper, steel, and gemstone. The "refined crystal packs" have no stats, so I use crappy resources for these. All of the other resources included in the kits are the best ever spawned (on Shadowfire):
4th and 3rd gen lightsabers:
- (Opaninaeine) Durraloy Steel (OQ=991, CD=649)
- (Omninyrigo) Titanium Aluminum (OQ=986, CD=303)
- (Carbistaroetsiam) Polymer (OQ=991)
- (Dlefost) Culsion Inert Gas (OQ=912)
- (Avoh) Polysteel Copper (OQ=996, CD=980)
2nd gen lightsabers:
- (Avoh) Metal (OQ=996, CD=980)
- (Avoh) Non-Ferrous Metal (OQ=996, CD=980)
- (Carbistaroetsiam) Polymer (OQ=991)
- (Quadite) Inert Gas (OQ=996)
1st gen & training lightsabers:
- (Avoh) Mineral (OQ=996, CD=980)
- (Avoh) Metal (OQ=996, CD=980)
- (Dhaiefepedo) Chemical (OQ=1000)
- (Quadite) Gas (OQ=996)
The amount of resources included in each kit varies, but the resources used are listed above. For instance, a 2nd generation 1 or 2 handed lightsaber currently uses 63 units of Avoh, 20 Carbistaroetsiam, and 22 Quadite. A double bladed saber uses 114 Avoh, 20 Carbistaroetsiam, and 42 Quadite. So there turn out to be 10 different lightsaber kits, even though there are 13 different lightsaber types.

Thanks. It's been more successful than I thought it would be. I've sold about 6000 kits now. I also sell the peripherals needed to make the lightsabers too - lightsaber tools (+14.97), Bespin Port (+11 experimentation), and Pyollian Cake (+15 assembly).
I don't make much money on the food and drink, as I just buy those from chefs for resale. I make a good profit on the other stuff though. I could probably make more if I charged more, but I actually started the shop as a service to jedi more than a money maker. It's done both. Almost all the jedi on Shadowfire buy from me and are very happy with my service. If I was in it just for profit, I'd charge much more for my kits. My prices go from 25k for a training saber kit to 60k for a 4th gen, double bladed kit. I could probably charge 10 times that and still sell a lot of them. I'd lose some business if I charged more, but I'd probably make more profit and need to restock less. If someone does this on another server, I recommend you charge more than I do (maybe 2-3x for best profit). I'm sure I won't change my prices though. I never have (opened shop last May), and I like providing the service to jedi. The kits just take a lot of effort to make, and need to be restocked too often.

Way to target a niche market! You really took some time thinking about your product. I bet you have lots of happy customers.
