Hello folks. I have a question or a situation I guess and I'm looking for some advice. I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but it seemed like a good place to start.

Here's the situation. I have a friend who recently left the game and left me all of his resources and equipmet he had. He was one of those folks with 3 accounts, ran a large number of harvs for a long time and left behind literally 5 - 6 medium houses full of resources, (hundreds of thousands of some types) and manufacturing components. His accounts had between them a master artisan, architect and chef...as well as fair amount of equipment used by a BH/CH. I myself have a tailor/armorsmith. Some resources I can use myself but I find myself somewhat overwhelmed at the moment by a lot of stuff I don't need. I know it has some value (it's mostly grinding quality though) and what I'm looking for here is some good advice on how to move a very mixed lot of resources and items.

I can put one vendor out myself, but I'm not sure how you would advertise "clearance" resources/items, especially of such a mixed bag and of stuff that once it's gone, it's gone. I've been trying filtering out some items via the bazaar but stuff is moving really slowly by that method and I'd love to find a way to accelerate it. I have no experience with vendors which is why I'm asking for advice here figuring you guys are the experts. I've done all my business to date by custom order, so advice a noob could understand would be helpful.

Are there merchants who specialize in liquidating odd lots like this? Finding one stop to unload it all is ideal to me but I've never seen anything like this in game. (If anyone one is curious this is on the Sunrunner server).

Thanks for any advice you can provide.

The Galactic Bazaar is a horrible way to sell huge quantities of resources. It will take you the better part of a year to do it.

I would recommend two things.

1.) If you don't want the resources for yourself, then obviously they aren't of much value to you. Price the High quality stuff at 6 - 10 CPU. Everything else, price it at 1 CPU or less. The junk will sell quickly, and the HQ will sell eventually when someone really needs it.

2.) Take advantage of the exposure. When you are ready to sell all those resources, make sure your Tailor and Armor vendors are well stocked with your best stuff. People will come back if they like what they see. The referals don't hurt either.

for stuff that's special, you might also want to advertise and/or hold auctions on your server's trade forum.

Some people spam at starports and others put the advertisement on their galaxy trade forums for the fire sales on the vendors. You can also advertise that you have a lot to sell. You can put up in a post that you want a lot bid on everything or say, everything in a house. If you want to get top dollar do auctions and slowly sell everything off. To get speedier sales, do lot auctions. Make you list everything you have, name, spawn name, and amount, and maybe the complete stats. You can negotiate with resource sellers and crafters to sell lots off.

Take an inventory, if it is nothing but one house at a time, and make a list of what all is in the house. Go to swgcraft and do a bit of research, or go to the architect, chef, and whatever other forums, and find out what resources each crafting prof uses or desires.

Then get on your galaxy trade forums, and hold an auction.

On pricing, I would say price things in accordance to how fast you want to liquidate your inheritance, so to speak.

Me, personally... I would do extensive research before I started doing away with anything. If this guy was around that long a time, he prolly has stuff lying around that is worth millions, literally.

Also, something to consider is the CU, in my opinion, til that little piece of the game falls in place, we are all wondering what is gonna be "Good" after the release...

My two cents, for what its worth.
