Ok so i have a quick question... I know it can be premature, and I know it is something that will wffect a lot of people.
AND, I am afraid i will get absolutely no feedback from SOE on this? (I hope i am wrong)...
I am, as i know a lot of other people are... Selling stuff!
I am selling a lot of different stuff, some on bazaar, some on vendor and lots on the forums... With the upcoming CU it seems a lot of things are going to change in regards to a lot of things. I am afraid i am going to get hit really hard as I have a lot invested in skilltapes that may or may not now work.
My question is this... Does anyone have any ideas on whether or not those of us who will burn in with a lot of useless items will in any form be compensated for some of the items we have? It is my understanding that this has not really been the case in the past. I do not want to sell my stuff to someone either,(at least i don't try very hard to unload it),because i don't feel it is not good business to dump this problem on someone else.
If anyone has any information on what may happen to allsoon tobeobsolete items, I would appreciate a heads up...
Thank you in advance for your response...

I would not expect any form of reimbursement.
However, it is entirely possible that items that are useful now will be converted into items that are useful in the CU world.
If you're uncomfortable holding on to them, sell them any way you can.
If you want to ride it out, you might find out that the conversion process makes them even more desirable.
(I'm just speculating, I have no inside knowledge)

See, if there was a conversion process or something like that...that would be fine...It really just comes down to the fact that people who are affected by the CU in way of their templates and such, seem to be able to expect some sort of assistance in regards to maybe retemplating or such, but i have seen no reassuring news for those of us who sell other items that will be heavily affected by the CU...

There WILL be an item conversion process.
However, I don't know what will and won't convert.
Just be sure to participate in the testing process for the CU and /bug every little thing that comes up wrong.

I'm actually looking forward to the challenge of "re-learning" what I thought I had already mastered...
And then turning around and being able to explain it all to my customers.
Some new marketing opportunities and strategies may arise from all this conversion stuff. And lower level crafters may finally, after all this time, have just as viable a market, customer base and income earning potential as master crafters do.
Being a "Pure Merchant" might also be a much more interesting and lucrative business model.

You might even find that something that isn't useful now will be useful after the CU.
