I just got my third vendor and dropped it in a friend's shop...I didn't get any extra experience for it, though, after an hour, still my usual 300 merchant xp for that hour. So I assumed you couldn't get experience for having a vendor in someone elses shop. However, after moving it to my shop, I still don't get experience for having it placed.

So this begs the question: can you get merchant experience for a vendor placed in a shop owned by someone else (provided you have admin rights when placing it)? And how do I start getting vendor experience off of my third vendor? (all vendors have at least 1500 in their maintenance pools and items for sale)

8 hours after vendor placement, I just got experience that seems to indicate my vendor is now granting experience...but this is after it was placed in my own shop...anyone have an answer to the vendor placement location not granting xp?

Are you keeping it's maintence up? Generally if vendors are initialized and maintain they should give you xp, although sometimes they get a little buggy, and don't give it steadily every hour (sometimes they hold it all, and give it in chunks). All of my vendors are in my PA which is NOT my declared residence, and I've only got placement permissions in. I get all of my XP just fine. But then I keep all my vendors well maintained.
