I have currently 4 vendors in my house and I only get 300 xp per hr instead of 600 xp per hr . So it looks like its not counting 2 of my vendors for xp. 1 vendor has items on him , 3 dont. The one with items on him has maint paid, the other 3 dont. But why are only 2 working when I have 4? need some help on this before I pull my hair out hehe

yes they are all initialized but i dont pay for 3 of them I just let the deteriorate. I only pay for one but I get xp for 2 so getting xp for at least one unpaid so didnt think that was the problem

Indeed.. this profession needs seriously looking at, it's losing face and value every day..

Theres always gotta be some smart ass to put down people heh never ceases to amaze me what kind of people roam these boards. Why not call the coders at Sony cheapskates cause they obviously dont care about the merchant class enough to fix it. Let alone being about to dump the class and keep all the merchants and reduced maintance fees. You need to re-examine who you call cheapskate. I was looking for help not defaming comments. Grow up. Alacrity's alacrity aside, yes the problem is that you need to pay your vendors. Really it's not too much to ask. To gain xp all you have to do is keep vendors initialized and maintained. Keep all of them 100% and you'll always get your xp. Doesn't sound like a bad deal to me.

Thank you JTG I appreciate that comment. ITs what I was looking for. Yea im doing it for holo and I just started from another server so im broke and dont have much money yet so was trying to get by best way I can. Sorry if you all take offense to me not wanting to keep merchant. I think its a fine class its just not for me to keep. Good Luck to you all.

No problem, just start out every session with a few destroy missions. Even at newb levels yer looking at around 2k per trip so do twelve missions and you got enough to leave them nice and happy for about a week.

We just get tired of all the stupid holocron-merchant questions. Use your brain! Why should you get XP for a Vendor that isn't at 100% condition?

that may not be true if u keep all ur vendors at 100% they will always pay you in xp

for example yesterday i was online for 12 hours playing i have 5 vendors in my house all have 10k each in maintance all 100% working every vendor has something it is selling and during the 12 hours i gained about 4k of exp now the maths dont add up 5x 150 = 750 per hour so in that 12 hour period i should have gotten 9k

now i had alot of people use my shop and vendors which gives 50 exp points per person so where is all the exp i lost going

but if i am offline for 9 hours like today i get my exp of about 6500 so am i better just not coming online to get the exp i want to be master merchant

there must be something wrong some where the hourly exp isnt being added

as i know it said in a previous statement that ifu go back to vendor it will give u the exp well i looked into that and its wrong i was away from my shop for 3 hours before i left i checked what exp points i had i had 22550 i came back 3 hour's later clicked on one of my vendors checked my exp and i gained a whole 50 exp points and thats because someone went and bought sokmething from me in that hour

now where is my lost 3 hours exp points and the rest of my exp points that i lost

now i work hard on the merchant i spend all my money getting resourse and items for the shop to make it have nearly everything for everyone to buy oiut of so i can gain exp i have spent the past week working this merchant exp and for what to lose out

the merchant skill needs looked into
