Merchant Archive

I noticed this within the last week, don't know when it started. I remember this was a bug in the not-so-distant future, but then it was fixed and worked fine for me for a time. Now I'm seeing it again.

Is this happening to anyone else? Has anyone been able to fix it?

After a server reboot (which happens every morning I believe) vendors get taken off the map, and don't get put back on, until someone is physically in their presence again. What happens is, vendors don't really exist when there's no one there to see them (like the tree falling in the woods, or your refridgerator light) to save database space. When the server is rebooted for daily maintence, they don't exist because no one's there to see them, so they don't get put on the global map, until someone walks into the room with them, making them exist again. Then they go back to the map.

Ok. Thanks for that explanation. I don't get much traffic in my shop, somy vendor isprobably not listed that often on the map.
