Thread: Idea to help consummer....Global rating system, please read.
Well I for one love merchants. And I love vendors. I travel to many day in and day out. Now sadly I am finding more and more "holo" merchants. Now what a holo merchant is, is this: Sets up a vendor....the goes up hirring to run 6 total. After this he goes up adds. Then adds his vendor to global list with titles such ass: "Rare Resources" "Rare Items" etc....u get the idea.
But at the same time, I go thining this guy might me for real. Sadly I find empty vendor 7:10 easily now. So what I suggest is this. Once you have gone to the vendor, only ones on global map. You can rate them....kinda like on here, 1-5. The everage will the show beside the name on the global list like "Rare Resources "(4/5). This way we would be able to see if the place was real or not. I know some people will say compition could fake this and ruin you. Well it you are truely a merchant, thats risk. Just like Walmart and Kmart.....
This is just my idea, and I really would love to see soemthing atleast similar added. Kinda sad only vendor i can trust is bazaar.....

No matter how much I would like to see that feature you recommend implanted, I'm getting sick of what kind of griefing, and "terrorising" that ones compititive could use against one with that system... That would be like, someone else said, that someone runs around and 1 stars... (Hell if the system is implanted, I'll start a business taking money to 5 star a merchant vendor... and 1 star his compition... Okay just kidding, I'm not that kind of person...)
The suggestion that Tarnak is making, is also interesting... I see a problem with database workload though... but if they listed the number of items on the vendor, that would not make more entries in the database, just another number that should be pulled out of it... that would maybe an idea... at the same time you could see which vendors that are empty, or near empty (if there has been a lot of customers, and no restocking)... That would be the way I would make it. It would be easy to make, as the numbers already are in the database (I'm pretty sure of that), and it would only take a few lines of code to make it appear... and on the same time, it can't be griefed... just my humble modification of Tarnak's idea ![]()
