- The number of vendors allowed is increased to10-15, vendors will then take up merchant slots

- Merchant slots are gained through skill tree i.e now (management line)

- A merchant is hired to place a vendor(access to area of placementis given to the merchant long enough to place the vendor) Once placed/initialized the merchant may no longer remove vendor. Buyer of vendor services may remove vendor when no longer neded,ane-mail will be sent to the merchant when this has been done thus freeing a merchant slot.

- Vendoris then rented to the seller for a specfied amount per week i.e. vendor maint is sent to placing merchant

- Seller is givenadmin rights to the vendor and mayremove, merchant admin rights and vendor if no longer needed. Merchants may not remove vendors/unless grouped with seller and agreed upon.

- Merchants receive small 1% of sales of items i.e sales tax

-% of maint is determined based on the hiring vendor type i.e in uniform, vocalization, advertising etc ..

And what will a merchant do when he have rented out all his vendors? Sit down and look at the credit trickle in? Or perhaps go rent some commando skills and join a faction raid on a NPC town?

Dont limit the No of vendors by merchant skill but by the controling players allotment. Give every player 'Vendor +1' as a base skill. Merchants would create vendors according to specifications and then trade them to the customer who would place the vendor and be responsible thereafter.

Also allow the merchant creator of a vendor the authority to change the vendor, give clothing, alter ad barking and change map registry (if they have the skills). Merchants would keep the Management line as is, gaining up to seven vendors that they control. Perhapse allow Master Merchants to be granted complete control over vendors by the vendor owner - thus the Master Merchant would be able to set prices and remove from sale anything in the stock room or place things for sale (though the proceedes would go to the vendor owner).

Additionaly allow Merchants (or perhapse only Master merchants) a special view that would allow them to see what is for sale on all vendors that they have rights on, this would alow merchants to know where the best bargains are or the special items. Much like the 'region' toggle on a vendor that shows all your vendors, there would be a toggle for each Vendor you have rights on and an option to get an email when anything is sold.

I like these suggestions. They let merchants actually use their skills more often and in conjunction with other players. As it stands, merchants have few ways to use their Hiring and Management powers more than once in a great while.

So, let me get this straight: To advance my character, I have to give up my current abilities?

I'd rather they just gave us better tools to buy and sell goods with the current system.

I am moving into one or more player city and would love for them to not tax offers. This is moving up in priorities for me. I would hate to have to set up a vendor outside the city just to receive offers.
