Thread: This is something that should be fixed
I had no idea that the following statetements are true:
1. When you offer a vendor Items the owner is not notified.
2. You can take down a vendor with offered items on it and there is no warning!!
I dropped of about 300k worth of meat at this shop, and accidently droped it off on the wrong vendor.. whoever owned that vendor took it down, and my meat is caput!! ..> There should be some sort of failsafe to prevent this from happening.
BTW, I'm no merchant, never used a vendor before.. so if my statements are NOT true, then I retract my comments.. This is info I got from a master merchant.
Thanks

We have requested these all before. I do not have these on my bug list... Do you all think I should add these as bugs. The first may be more of an enhancement request.
They are not really bugs but they are definitely not working well for either the merchant or the consumer. I will try to bring them into the conversation for chages to help build relationships since they both affect that.
I get a notice, it says "an item has been offered to your vendor" , I think it gives the name of the person too.
Would be nice if it sent a Email too.
Yes it does send a notice but if you are offline you don't get it and if you are online and doing something else you proabably missed it.
Should be an e-mail and when you try to take down the vendor you should get some warning.. HEY.. there's some crap offered to you.. . maybe you should contact the poor **edit** who owns it so he can take it back!
hmm.. something like that.
For the time being EVERYONE who offers something to a vendor should really learn that also sending a short email will get their item noticed a LOT more quickly. Just plopping something unannounced on someone's vendor and expecting them to notice it is making a pretty large assumption with YOUR items.
An auto mail would be way nice, but until it happens, seller beware!
Unfortunatly that's not common knowledge... I've learned my lesson the hard way. I hope not many other people do. Maybe everyone that takes down a vendor can check and see if there's any offered items there as well.
1) Vendors should not be permitted to be removed if they have any items on them.
No other entity or structure which 'contains' thing in the game allows you to destroy them while items remain inside them.
2) All other vendor and bazaar events, successful sale, unsuccessful sale, purchase, etc generates and in-game mail. So should Offers.
Even though these mails aren't always that detailed, they are still generated.
Every bazaar/vendor transaction should generate a mail stating:
a) Planet, City,Location, Vendor Name ('bazaar' is a vendor too)
b) Item name
c) Item price
d) Event - sale, offer, sale removal, DELETION
e) Action - placed in Available Items, placed in Stockroom, DELETED
