Thread: Stock in a lag environment
I am seeking any tricks to the trade that some of you may know. I sell Artisan items in the largest mall on our server, which has a big problem with lag. I can sell over 500 items a day with no problem. The problem I have is stocking my vendors. I have the means of getting enough items, but it takes for ever to put them up for sale individually. do any of you have any tricks to speed up the time it takes for an item to be put up for sale or to dcrease the effects of lag?
On the wish front, it would be awesome if I could sellect 50 PowerUps and put them all up for sale at once for the same price. If I could do this I might even hire other artisans to do my crafting. The other would be to be able to multisellect to move items from factories and bags.

If we can delist things in groups, and can retrieve in groups, why can't we sell from stockroom in groups? I would love to highlight 20 identically priceditems (i.e. 20 boots, different colors) and put them all for sale at the same price each? It seems to me that this would be easy to implement, and would be a good way to deal wtih stock that has dropped to stockroom or offers.
My apologies in advance because I'm starving and I haven't had lunch yet but this sounds a lot like:
D. Streamlined Sales Interface
Give us the ability to put items back on sale for the same price with one click. Allow us to put multiple items up for sale at the same price. Reduce the number of clicks required to put each item up for sale.
Which is in the Merchant Top 5: Solutions from the Forum post..

Yes it does, but could we modify it to read:
Give us the ability to put multipe items up for sale (from inventory) or back up forsale (from stockroom) at thethe same price with one click. Reduce the number of clicks required to put each item up for sale. This would be a great time saver for Merchants and would probably help reducelag.
This would would place both the sell from inventory or stockroom up as one issue and make sure that they look at both.
I don't think the two are that different but it doesn't matter to me I'll ammend my copy with the language in yours. Though I doubt the interfact reduces lag..it just puts it all at one place instead of a bunch of little ones
Well the batch download with /mailsave does greatly reduce lag, so this would hopefully do the same. Sending it as a batch will require less data to be sent and be processed all together.
As an IT person, I know that the developers will see these two as different interfaces. Trust me I argue with our developers all the time about this.

Bah..you're arguing with one now and I disagree. ![]()
Well it is two different interfaces (controls).![]()
By the way do you guys have any good jobs? ![]()
"Largest mall on our server"...
That's a fairly presumptuous statement, unless you've been to every store in the galaxy.
![]()

I changed it already.
No..I'm lucky to keep what I have.
HA!
I've wished for multiple select in ALL interfaces for longer than most of you have been playing ![]()
This is an excellent idea, and if they can do it in one place, they can do it in others.
I realize that right now the multiple selects are on text line item listings, but it would technically be possible on text AND icon listing.
If I have 10 crates in my factory output hopper, why should I have to select TEN different crates and drag EACH one to my inventory???
Hope it doesn't have anything to do with the fact that the UI programmer professed his hatred of Win.
That would be JUST PLAIN STUPID to ignore STANDARD UI conventions just to spite your predudice.
(hope he reads this.......)
