Thread: The Backslash Character
Does anyone know how to type the '\' character in SWG? if I hit the key marked \ on my keyboard, it does nothing. I have to alt-tab to windows notepad, type it, then copy-paste it into SWG.
Am I missing something really really obvious?
I'm set up for UKness in windows, does it work with a US keymap? My \ key is down between z and l-shift.

I had same problem, and never actually figured out how to type it, but I found a workaround.
If you open your /notepad, it will update a text file in your profile directory and update it directly. I edited this text file using the windows Notepad and added this: \\#FFFFFF- that allows me to copy and paste the backslash character needed for color codes inside the game. (if you don't add two backslashes, it will instead change the color of the text in your notepad - when you open it, you will only see one of them).
