I have seen some shop signs that span across multiple lines and was wondering how to do this. I just closed a shop and the message is a bit long and it would be nice to span it across a few lines.

For example:
Instead of this: Memphis' Vehicles sales has move to Dantooine 400m from Mining Outpost at waypoint xxx

I want it to display like this:

Memphis' Vehicles sales has move to Dantooine
400m from Mining Outpost
waypoint xxx

I've seen it on signs before. Anyone know how to do this?

Yes the trick is to get the line breaks into the text and then paste it into the sign name field.

The easiest is to format the text in /notepad in the game then copy and paste it into the name field. To do this you have to make sure you have mapped your copy and paste commands since they are not mapped by default.

But, how do you copy and paste in game?

go to options...probably under controls...look for chat and you can bind the copy and paste commands...

its under OPTIONS then CONTROLS then a button at the bottom KEYMAP.

i set my copy to CTRL+] and paste CTRL+[ as those keys are not used at cannot be accidentaly pressed.

then open your notepad /no or /notepad and but the message on multi lines and COPY it from notepad.

open your house name screen and PASTE it there.

i too have ran across this issue, and sadly there IS a cap on the number of characters that maybe inputted.

unsure of what the cap # is, but i know i am very close to the cap, check my vendor signs at

Tatooine -1300 -6000

Dantooine -987 2275

I have attempted this many times. Apparently there is a limit to the number of characters in the text entry. I always cuts off portions of my sign. More than likely due to the multiple /#'s but I have seen signs with 3 lines and 2 colors.

Any suggestions?
