Merchant
Bah..Merchant is the easier of the three. Just grind to Business III then put up your vendor and wait. Get novice Merchant, go up management line first and add a new vendor each time you get a new box in Management. Sell some meds while you're at it to build up your funds for the next profession.
Lol i feel ya man, kinda killed me when i saw that wonderful message on my screen, i started novice artisan about 2.5 weeks ago and when i get home today i'll be master Merchant.. its not as painful as you might think..
I found that there are actually some other interesting aspects of this game to enjoy since i don't have to be actively grinding through a profession, i started to PvP a lot more, spent a lot of time on dath killing ns the loot of which i put up on my vendor.
you can grind through it, if you have a lot of friends to help you out, just get 10 naboo style 2 houses (1 lot each) and set them up with an access fee, for every visitor you get to all your houses you net 500 merch xp, my PA was helpful in the beginning and i made sure to go up the Management line first to get the max per hour xp.
So don't give up, its not as evil as it may seem.
As a recent HoloMasterMerchant, I give you these tips :
1. Go up the 4th tree first as you get more vendors, and you get xp per vendor per hour.
2. You have 10 land lots (except for the exploiters, and I'm not naming names) - 2 for your house (shop) and 8 for other stuff. If you are already mining things, sell whatever you are mining. If you have 8 idle lots, find out where the heavy concentrations of Naboo or Tat Fiberplast are and drop 8 Deep Cores. Sell it at grinder prices (3cpu) and let the interested parties know you restock daily.
3. Expect it to take 3 weeks assuming you get 0 0 0 4 first, then the others. You can't grind Merchant, don't even try. If you grind grind grind it still takes close to 3 weeks so just do Merchant an hour a day (gather stuff to sell, stock your vendors) and spend the rest of your time doing other things. Maybe grinding Artisan, make stuff to sell?
4. After you are done and put some really cool looking and dressed merchants in your house, drop all the trees except Newbie Merchant and keep all your vendors, just to piss off all the real Merchants. ![]()
Awesome, thank you so much for all the tips =]
If anyone takes offence to this post.. i'm only poking fun at an ungrindable profession (sorry)
Anyway it gives me lots of time to do things while i wait., which is a nice break.I'll post whatever i learn from doing master merchant for others to learn as well
Thanks agian =]
