Thread: Bazaar Search feature

I don't know if this is the right place but As a purchaser and a seller, the "vendor search" feature attaching player vendors and the bazaar is bothersome. Having every vendor default to "enabled" makes this feature 95% unusable. I think i have found 4 things I was looking for that I could purchase. Sorry, im not going to pay 99999999999999 credits for 200units of Herbivore meat. or pair of red sandals. My server isn't heavy like Bria, or the other older servers but when you have 30 tiles of inorganic minerals and you find 95% of the entries are 999999999 creditsyou lose out on what people are actually trying to sell and what is stock vendor. We all know the /refresh button takes 50 items from the previous list and 50 you haven't seen yet.

Who do we have to kill, err talk to about suggesting they turn this feature to Disable as default, the people who want it on should know how to turn it on.

Well this is my first stop on this rant, I am sorry if this topic was brought up before. Just would like this simple option switched, and i know there will be people out there, will switch it to on just to hear people complain /sigh.

Why dont you just filter the ones above a certain price out?

The devs put this feature in so you can avoid problems like the 99999999 credit items. It's a great system, and it also helps give a baseline for minimum/maximum values on items as well.

I use the bazaar-vendor search a lot to get an idea of what an item's value is before I post it for sale.

Sorry for the delay. I don't know why i don't take the extra time to add an upper tier price limit, guess im asking too much for something simple. I don't recall if thier is an added fee if you have this option on or off. Having this set to default Off,couldlower the database/bandwith everytime someone clicks on the bazaar terminal. Even though you may not see it, the game still needs to access the vendors marked"on". Amazes me how SOE finds ways of making things lag even more. Guess im the only one that feels this way.

The issue you would have if it was "off" by default is many many vendors not being added and vendor search not being that helpful.

Speaking personally I would rather be able to trawl through an excess of items to find what I am after than find it is not listed on there because the merchant never turned the feature on.

But yes, I do thinkVendor search needs some work. For example, putting sub categories for resources would be a big help.
