yes, I know it's been brought up before and I'm doing it again. on the sign in it stated that ITEMS in bags will be counted as ONE item, just as they always have. well, it's not working that way. now I'll get flamed by all of those that think that this shouldn't be allowed for storage. well, let me tell you where to go, after I tell you where this is a problem for me!
I'm a master be.. hell with all saying that they have too many items to store being a crafter. try being a crafter plus a damn pack rat of dna! the game has made it impossible for a be person to be a true animal/tissue creator due to their storage constraints. not one piece of dna stacks, and 5 are needed per animal, and many times those 5 are different types depending on the animal being madeand let's not forget those beautiful little failures that delete them all. considering all that, just how many dna pieces do you think I need to make your damn animal that's a certain lvl, a certain type, a certain resist and a certain special hit! can you imagine just how many dna are needed to complete this task? it takes hours to get enough rancor dna to make a lvl 70 pet, let alone the other animals needed to complete it. and that's ONLY making a pet! let's talk about what's needed to make tissues.. different meats, different organics needed for each type of tissue. now, let's talk about the pet meds/vitality pacs! those need special meats, special organics, and MED components that all have the need for special items too!!
it's ridiculous if no one thinks there is a storage problem and it needs to be dealt with. and don't tell me I don't have to make all my own stuff, I have the skills for it, I do it! I'm NOT paying the price for meat, ect cause they don't let us harvest enough to make it worth the time paying someone to collect it. do something, SOE, SONY, WHOEVER! but this is just not acceptable.
/rant off. I'm so tired of the bugs not being fixed and things like this (call them exploits or whatever you wish) being totally worked over all the time. I'm tired, and growing more tired of this game being so much work..

I think most will agree with you that storage, for some profession like yours more than others, is a problem. With a 10 lots max, many crafters have 10 lots used with full houses, full factories, full banks, and are still looking for more room. Non-stackable items for BE's, smugglers, and the other profs that have unstackable items only add to folks issues. But,I would like to see the problem addressed by increasing storage capacity on houses vs. making backpacks count as 1 item again - it takes away from the usefulness of the merchant profession if a biz 3 artisan can have 75 backpacks with 50 items in each pack. The intended quantities allowed for vendors counts items in backpacks, which is good. It would be nice though for profs such as armorsmiths to have some sort of container made for selling sets that would count the container as 1 item, but would hold all pieces of a full set of armor, but nothing else. It would also be handy for BE folks such as yourself, and tailor folks and other component suppliers if there were some method for offering full runs of 40 items to vendors, which there is no longer any method besides adding folks to admin on your factories or meeting in-person, which is often difficult. Hopefully attention is given to these types of issues soon, I'm seeing good merchants with lots of items leaving the prof at the moment due to frustrations with some of the new changes.

agree. be it an increase in house storage or offering a special storage unit to be used by those of our professions only to house items that don't stack or don't stack well. it's not even the issue of not stacking, although that would help a lot, but an issue of so many different items needed in one profession that are expensive and hard to get. we don't really have the option to have someone get our stuff for us (unlike the crafters that can set up harvesters and walk away). our profession is already hard enough, and is now being complicated even more. I'm really just disappointed that they are still beta testing a game that should have been fixed by now. all these 'nerfs' are just that, beta testing in action.. it's a shame and we're paying to test it, continuously.
