Thread: Anyone else think this problem should take precedence over others that have been worked on?
What I mean is, would you agree that combat balancing and code streamlining, all of which were worked on in the big patch, should take a back seat to fixing the multitudes of vendor glitches?
I state this not only b/c I'm a merchant, but b/c it's logical.
A MOB is a little harder/easier to kill than it was last week. So what? That's not a huge deal. People losing tons of their time online is.
Story arc is ready to go. Who cares? I don't have any time to participate b/c I'm too busy trying to recover losses and work around shoddy vendor coding. YES DEVS I SAID SHODDY! I've stuck up for game developers in every game forum I've posted in, b/c I understand the staggering complexity of what they do, but prioritizing and customer service are not coding issues, they're time management issues. SOE, fix it. Now. If I was your project manager I'd kick you all dead in the ass. WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?!?
But Merchant is far from broken. In fact I think the worst problem facing Merchants right now is recent inventory nerf...which is bad for Merchants..and even worse for some other classes.
The bottom line is that all professions should at least be basically working right now and what they should be doing atm is tweaking. Instead, they're tweaking rather than getting the basics working. Merchant is at least 1/2 playable--other classes are less than a 1/4 playable.
