It is a sad thing for me because I really enjoyed running my shop but a lot of things caused me to close. I had a resource shop and with the resource duping and people being afraid to buy resources off vendors with fear of not being able to retrieve them(even though I used droid vendors and none of my customers had this problem), it had just turned to unprofitable.

I had a great customer base when I first started that came because I had the best prices around. With the resource duping and the fact that every smo can place harvestors that fact about my business soon ended. Also with the fixing of being able to place vendors in other people's houses(which I believe is a good thing overall but will kill all small specialty businesss owners), people will now be wanting to go to malls and other one-stop shops.

Maintanence was just getting to be too expensive for me to keep hundreds of thousands of resources on my vendors without many sells. I am a master merchant and I had all the advertising stuff turned on but like all the other merchant skills it was not worth a **edit**.

And the fact that anyone with only business 3 can sell goods out of a shop, the merchant class is just not worth anything at all.

To anyone who cares. I am still collecting resources and will be taking orders for bulk amounts but will no longer be selling via vendors. Hopefully, they will fix the merchant class soon and they will fix how easily available resources soon or else I see this game economy failing horribly.

I'm sorry to hear that you decided to close up. Perhaps you'll reopen once some fixes are in place. It's true that the merchant skills have to be among the weakest in the game, and in fact the ones we have are all but nerfed to nothing considering none of them actually work... but perhaps one day that will change.

Also, I was under the impression that the duping was fixed as of the last major patch..
