I would really like to be able to leave a sign in my shop that says my vendors will be restocked every wed and friday. Or get the personalized ad barking working so I can have the vendors say it.

Make a Vendor for this...

1. Make a vendor and dont place anything on it

2. Name vendor "Fight Night at Shrub Pub Nine PM EST"

3. Place vendor

4. Register vendor on world map

This works for me, the only down side is the name Filter is very picky

DEV - could use this as a way to add a sigh to the frt of the building or for in store advertizing - just make non working Vendors and relax the naming filter.

You can make good signs already (if you have some basic Engineering skills, anyhow.) They're called "Bone Armor Segments" by most people. Just make one, but name it what you want your sign to say, and drop it at the appropriate place in your shop!

Oh, and by the way, why is there a signs category on the bazaar? What kinds of signs are we supposed to be able to craft anyhoo? (One of many "itemless" categories on the bazaar)

Great idea. We need more of this type of suggestions.

Added ideas:

• Drop on stairs and then move to a wall. Then you have a wall sign.


• Possible. Drop a wooden staff and then segment... would it stack? Sign on top of staff. If not use stair trick and move to same spot.

Backpacks as signs isn't a bad idea. I recently dropped a Bounty Hunter pack, just to let people see it so they could know they're finally available (we just got the galaxy's first Thoranium steel a few days ago....) They hang at just about eye level, so they make good signs for that, not to mention that some of them actually look pretty attractive as "wall hangings."

We need real SWG signs.

Backpacks do for now, but we want real signs. An item we can edit text on.

Why not write it on the SIGN outside your front door. The latest patch shows it to everyone that wanders by.

I did that. Used the house sign for a brief message after my name. And I did the bone armor sign thing too. That worked out pretty nice. And I was going to alter the names on the backpacks displayed... but I went LD. /frown But boy oh boy, I sure would like some "real" signs and banners and business cards...

Yes the sign on the house is OK, I use it already, but it is not great.

I want a sign customers can examine that allows us to display rules to a game, a complex pricing scheme, a items being bought/ sold list.

Like the signs for the city entrances, but for INSIDE our shop to convey information to our customers.

I use backpacks as signs, since they can easily be renamed. I also use the advertising II ability to give my merchants some stuff to say about the product they're selling (like factories are broken no meds today!), or sometimes just to be silly. This seems to work for about a day, then I have to reset.

We need something that works like a blackboard to put on the walls where the customer sees it as soon as they walk in. Outside on the front door would be better yet. This would be a good way to highlight specially priced sales, tell of things that are out of stock or bugged, or announce when we are "away on vacation" so no re-stocking will be happening until such-and-such date.
