Ok here's what happened. This morning I created a vendor, placed it but did not initialize nor pay maintenance on it right away. I went next door to craft some clothes for her and when I came back, she was gone! I know there are known bugs where objects don't load right away so I waited a little bit. But the furniture around her have appeared and she is still nowhere to be found. Nobody else can see her either. Tried rebooting, relogging, the works... still no vendor.

So since the vendor seemed to have poofed into thin air, I thought I'd create a new one. But surprise! The structure management terminal tells me I have the max number of vendors, which means somewhere out there, my vendor still exists.

Here's my theory: since I did not initialize the vendor, it was free to wander around and must have left the premises as soon as I turned my back. So if anyone sees an NPC walking around Rori in Gorath with the name "Vendor: Rosie", medium height, greying Princess Leia buns, tanned complexion, please direct her to Roma (my guild city) and tell her that her master Elannor misses her and wants her back.

Seriously though, now I know what it means when they say "your vendor has been initialized and cannot be moved anymore". I've always wondered about that since I could never move it even BEFORE it's initialized. So I guess it means that the vendor can move itself.

My guess is that it will reapear tomorrow after the next server restart. Not that this is any consolation to you today but I have heard this before where vendors got "stuck" and wouldn't load. A CSR ticket is probably your best bet at this point and it will most likely show up in the morning.

Maybe she's camping a choice city location for a city hall placement?

Maybe being a master Vendor was the last Holocron she had to fulfill to become a Jedi.

Thank you so much for your valuable insights ladies and gents. Rosie, the prodigal vendor, did reappear the next day. I never did find out where she went when she disappeared . However she must be repentant because I oftentimes catch her facing the wall (like Draznar's vendors), as if she's punishing herself by standing in the corner.

I have had the same thing happen to me twice.

The first time I was in such a panic, I had just made Master Tailor and had set up my new vendor, put about 100 items on her and poof she dissapeared when i went out to check on a harvester. She did, however, reappear the next day after server restart so go figure.

The second time was just a few days ago on an empty vendor, and again after server restart she reappeared.
