Thread: Afterthoughts of a Merchant Grind Session
I don't like this kind of play ...
Now we have Jedi grinder !! very nice ..
8 million creidts? Wow!
Just a thought. You can trade Faction Points for Merchant XP via the Train Option with the RecruiterCan't you? With 8 million credits you might have been able to buy 100k in FP I don't know what the current exchange rate is.
Setup 10 small naboo houses instead of redeeding over and over. With 65 people going through 10 houses 4 times at 50 xp a pop, that's 65x10x4x50= 130k/hour.
And no work re-deeding.
If you think most people are honest, pay them like 5k to run through all 10 houses and send you an email with how many times they did it.
Yeah I'm a rich SOB trying to holo grind through merchant. So I'm sure your going to give 1 star, fine. But I am offering some legitimate info.
I organized a raffle. Winner gets a Holocron, everyone who shows up automatically gets 50k. I made 100 CDEF pistols with a different number and had everyone buy one for a single credit then offer back. I rolled a chance cube at the end, matching gun owner wins a holo.
For this, they followed me around for an hour while I was redeeding then replacing houses.
This is my findings...
Redeeding houses isn't instant. You need to pay some maintenance, then go to destroy, then hit ok, then type in some stupid random number they generate to confirm, then hit ok, then remake it, then enter and set for 1 credit entry fee. Even when hurrying this takes time.
When everyone starts entering, you lag like hell. At one point I had near 70 people running in and paying at once. My computer doesn't lag, and it didn't during this normally. I could run around all 70 without a problem. When everyone was running in and paying, my client just got HAMMERED. The code when someone enters your house, you get 1 credit and 50 xp must be just horrible. It was bad enough that every time my client locked up for almost 20 to 30 seconds.
Then you have to run to another house and repeat.
Realistically you can only do one complete cycle every few minutes, with all of these factors. But with 65 people you are getting 3,250 XP per house.
If you get 2 houses a minute, thats a little under 100k xp per hour.
I ended up going past an hour and got all the way up the management line and 2 boxes in another line.
With 6 venders now the rest of the XP should come a bit quicker, but I think I was hoping for a bit more xp. All in all I spent at least 8 mil for it.
If anyone can convince people to run in and out of houses for a few hours, this can be good xp.
For you grinders out there, it might be worth trying.
