Merchant Archive

Reading the other professions forums, they are really big into the best places to hunt or go for the fastest way to get xp, etc.

So here it is for merchant:

Find 15 other merchants on your server that all want xp, fast. Get together in a nice flat spot of land, and have all 16 of you drop down 10 small nabo houses each. (put them in a two lines, or a square, something simple to traverse, and add more to if needed).

Now, everyone sets the access fees on every house to 1 credit for 15 minutes. Then all 16 or however many of you that there are just run down the rows of houses paying the access fee on every house. You can get over 30k per hour like this if you found that many people willing to do it. (More than 15 is okay, but you really just can't hit that many houses in 15 minutes). Remember, you are a mere 8100 access fees from Businessman to Master Merchant. So gert clicking.

(This works on the honor system, you can't help yourself, but you can help the other people out there, and hopefully they will help you out in return.)

Actually Yajedi you are doing Merchant because of a holocron right? I understand that I really do. I wish it wasn't true but currently it is necessary to grind professions to attain a valid game goal of becomming a Jedi.

I don't claim "Merchant sucks" I've tried to observe how the xp works, and I (as a Buyer) tried to offer my suggestion of what I would most want from the Merchant class. I don't hate you, please don't hate me.

Here are a couple of other facts:

1) Many of us do like being merchants.

2) We are under no obligation to help you be a Jedi. (This isn't said to be rude..good luck to you and all I hope you make it)

We have given everyone here adequate information on how the profession works in Draznar's guide that is at the top of the forum. Beyond that if you ask a question you will most likely get an answer but a Master Merchant has no reason to spend his day trying to find innovative new ways to grind Merchant XP. He is far more interested in how to generate more sales revenue and how to deal with the bugs and challenges he faces.

A good number of the people that come here are, like me just trying to get through Merchant on our path to Jedi. One would hope the merchant community would smile and help us along our way, knowing that Merchant isn't meant for everyone.
