I have 3 tents placed being used by friends. If I surrender merchant will the tents I have placed disappear?

No, if u have vendors in tents they won`t disappear either.

At some point the devs are bound to fix this. Those exploiting and using merchant skills without actually possessing the skills will likely lose everything they have on vendors and in tents. Questions....will you be one of them.

If you do decide to do this, make sure to warn your friends the tents might disappear oneday. It's one thing to risk your own stuff, but you shouldn't do it to others without their knowledge.
