Thread: How does Vendor Sale time work?
New to the whole vendor deal , and would like to know about this Vendor Sell time
Why exactly is there a sell time ? and what is it regarding to this Vendor Bug issue?
After 7 days i have to take down and resell the 600+ items i put for sell again?
I dont get it why there is a sell time .. it seems a waste of time ...
ok i think i figured it out ..
But now i question .. What exactly is the point in having a Set Sales time ?
Why does the sell item have to be resubmitted to get sold again ?

I want the option to have stuff on sale for as long as it takes until it gets sold

The reason you can't do that is that it would allow people to use the vendor as a personal storage device which it was never meant to be and causes the entire system to suffer. To prevent this and to prevent you from putting up 1000s of items and then just going away and leaving them there they put in the code that makes you actively put items back up for sale every so often. It was 7 days. We convinced them to change that to 30 days with this last publish. It is hardly a burden to ask you to cycle your merchandise every 30 days. If you have tons of items not selling in 30 days you may want to review your prices and/or your advertising techniques.
There is currently a bug that seems to be deleting the items after they are on sale for 14 days. This is not intended to work like this. It is supposed to be retired to the stockroom after 30 days and allow you to put it on sale again. Only being deleted if you leave it in the stock room for (I think another 30 days but it could be 7 I haven't checked that closely).
That is about all we know. It is likely that if you pull your items off the vendor every 14 days and put them back they will not disappear due to this bug, but that is a guess based on the evidence so far. I know that is a pain to do, but faced with the chance of losing all of the items I think it is the only thing we can do until they find and exterminate this bug.
Did you notice that ...
If you put something on Sell Via ur backpack / inventory .. it will get the "30 days"
but then if you withdraw that item and resell it from the Stockroomits only on sell for "7 days"
Also .. not for nothing .. reguardless of whatever time there is .. people can use this as a storage , simple .. put all ur items on ur vendor for 100 million each
