Thread: Vendor Problems (slightly different ones) PLEASE HELP

I'm posting this again in hopes of getting some kind of response... anyone who might have any idea as to what happened or what I can do is welcomed to give me some advice. Thank you in advance for any advice.


I have nowhere else I can go *on the verge of tears* I have had a few problems with my vendors, all of which happened Nov 28th, Friday after Thanksgiving (at least that's when I noticed) I've created a ticket that morning and have received not a single word for any devs. Was hoping someone here would know what to do.


Vendor Problem #1


the entire first page of items in my vendor's storeroom disappeared. I'm new as a merchant so I don't know if that's supposed to happen. I've checked up on my items now and then and they were there before that last patch. Friday morning I look and they're all gone. 100 krayt segments and scales *weep uncontrolably* yes, they've been there for a while... maybe 2 weeks? If it was "meant" to happen, I don't understand how we're supposed to storeanything in game. I simply don't have the amount of lots needed to store things as a merchant. if it was "meant" to happen, there should be some kind of skill that increases house stash for merchants (but that's going off on a tangent)


created and sent ticket (as well as bug report but not holding my breath on that one)


Vendor Problem #2


same day (got upset and logged, took deep breaths and chanted "it's only a game, it's only a game" for a few hours and came back). I sold roughly 365k worth of armor (all full sets in packs, 3 in all) while I was gone and the **edit** vendor stole every credit of it! *slap vendor* I got no credits from the sales. Got the emails just fine. but when I looked in the inventory/bank expecting to see the credits, I didn't. I also sold some individual pieces and didn't get the credits from that either. it's been 4 days, I'm still waiting for the beotch to return my hard-earned credits


couldn't create another ticket without deleting the previous and I thought krayt segs and scales were just more important to me than the credits.


Vendor Problem #3


on one of the sales of full sets of armor in packs (of the 3 I never got the credits for), when my customer went to retrieve it from the available items window, he couldn't. It said item unavailable. But I got the email saying it was sold to him. He says he got his credits back. But I didn't get my armor back. It kinda just disappeared. *slap vendor again*


I asked my customer to create and submitt a ticket on my behalf, and he kindly did so (if you're reading, not that you would have reason to... Thank you, Krammer!)


So that pretty much sums up my vendor problems... not sure if any or all of them are bugs. But someone please say something about it. I don't know what to do. it's just been ignored so far. I was polite in my ticket request (albeit peeved and showed it, but I really really tried and didn't point fingers or anything, just wanted them to fix the problem, or at least say something about it so I know what to do.)

Vendor Problem #1 Items Vanishing after 14 day:


Prior to 11/13 you couldn't have items for sale longer than 7 days. After that they were "expired" into the stockroom where they were supposed to stay for another 7 days then be deleted. The reason for this is to avoid people putting hundereds of items up in their vendor and then leaving them there forever. Vendors weren't meant to store things they are ment to sell things. Ok.. After 11/13 you can put items for sale for 30 days. There seems to be a bug now that is still deleting them after 14 days. Stay tuned on that one we are trying to get an answer to when that can be fixed now.


Vendor Problem 2 and 3 seem to be related. It is obvious to me that something happened to those sales and they are stuck somewhere. I suggest a detailed CSR ticket outlining exactly what occured and the experiences of both you and the buyer you talked to. You might talk to the other buyers you had for those items (You still ahve the emails right?) Given the emails and the other buyers experience you should be able to get a CSR to help you with reimbursement. I would suggest pulling everything out of that vendor and removing it and starting over but that is just me being paranoid about that vendor being buggy.

Unfortunately, the storeroom isn't for storage. Items stay in there 7 days (or maybe 14 now) and then are deleted.


Where are we supposed to store stuff? A very good question. This past weekend I created a storeroom vendor and put about 150 items on it at very high prices. It seemed like the ideal solution. Except that in 14 days all of those items will be deleted. Now, granted, some of that was just plain old junk that I'll be getting rid of. But other stuffis stacks and stacks of resources needed for both my tailor and my BE on a 2nd account.


The devs have already said it's less of a burden on the database to store items on the vendor instead of just dropped in the house. This makes sense. Why can't we have some "storage cabinet" with some reasonable abount of storage that doesn't expire, or doesn't poof? I just upgraded to a large house for a shop, and with the 250 item capacity it's not nearly enough. The displays and furniture (not a lot) have taken up the first 150 items. And I'm not done yet.


Anyhow, I'm sorry that you thought that the 'store room' was actually for storage.. it's not.

Items in the stockroom should only stay there for 24 hrs, after that, they get wiped...the devs never intended it to be a limitless storage area, unfortunately..

This happened to me once before. After several tries I just let it go,and the server reboot fixed it the next day.


Probably not too helpful...

2) Waaaaaaa.... I wish someone would have told me that storerooms aren't for storage before this whole thing. you think maybe they would have a warning or something when items go in to the storeroom that it will only be there for 7 days (or however many days it is now). Any chance(1 in a holo drop chance) that I might get my items back, since it was my "first offense?" Probably not, huh? *Sob Sob*

I have also been reimbursed 800k for money that disapeared. let me tell you that hurt when i lost that. I may have a few mil now, but I lost that after I just broke 1 mil.

I really wouldn't put a lot of money on your chances of getting reimbursed for items that expired from the stock room. Though I agree that they should tell you that they are going to go away. Maybe in the stupid expiration spam they send you..("Warning Ignoring this email could result in the loss of your item from the stock room in 7 days")


The other issues you talked about should be reported to a CSR and documented as much as possible because you are due compensation for that. If they didn't get their items and got their credits back then you are due compensation for the items that you can't sell because of the vendor error.

Has anyone actually gotten reimburssed? I've had this happen to me. Also have an issue with /tip <person> bank that I think is related to the problem. But when I submitted the report, I was told "Sorry but tough luck. We do not have enough records to verify what happened to the credits so it is lost."

starting to think the devs really don't care about crafters cuz we're just "supporting characters" and the only thing we're ever good for is to help out the fighters. tempted to quit altogether.

This is a little different than the tip thing becaues apparently they don't have logs of the tip transactions for some reason..They do have logs of vendor transactions however and I have been reimbursed for vendor related item lost as have countless other merchants who have posted here. The key as someone else posted earlier is to stay calm, be very reasonable, be very detailed in the information, be willing to negioate with the CSR who is trying to resolve the case. If you don't get a satisfactory response from the CSR simply say so in your ticket and keep asking for them to clear it up until you can reach some agreement. No one can guarantee that you will be compensated but if you do it right you have a much better chance. Screaming at the CSR's won't help they didn't write the code and they are only responisbile for verifying that you aren't trying to pull a fast one and then deciding what is a fair compensation. They aren't going to give you a million credits for a krayat FWG5..sorry if you can sell it for that fine but that isn't anywhere near a reasonable price for it you'll have to give them a price that is more in line with a replacement cost of the materials.
