Hi guys,
I have tried to find a guide or something similar on how to setup your vendors to do customized greetings to customers. I especially want the ability to have the vendor greet the customer by his/hers name etc.
But I cant find any such guides anywhere...can someone please point me in the right direction.

I need help with the exact same thing. I have Advertising 2, but I want my vendors to say the name of the potential customer? Someone? Anyone? I know plenty of you out there know how to do this, because I've seen it so many times. Help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

taken from DocSavage's guide to the Merchant profession:
Advertising II: Gives you the ability to create a custom message to adbark. These custom messages cannot currently use the user variables like %TT to customize the response, we believe this is a bug but have no confirmation at this time.

But i see vendors addressing a customer (me) with the customers name (again me), so someone must either know or this "bug" is fixed.

The canned greetings will do this.
I've never actually tried to make a custom one that addressed the customer.

regardless what you make the custom adbark it will greet the customer by name,
this works for me, how do i know this?
cause everytime i move an inch in my Tailor Store all the vendor employees start saying hi to me as if
i have been gone for days. just type in the custom messege and it will do the magickal greeting of players
and their names.
