Thread: Vendor Item has Expired Without Warning

Just curious, I did a search on this and came up with only messages from back last year.
We operate a number of vendors and sell a lot of things from tools, resources, meds, armor, and Architect goods. Since Pub 9, we've started to get Auction expired notices. At first this immediatly alarmed us, because we keep our stockroom brand spanking clean. Some chatting with CSRs gave us no answers as they tend to be completly useless. The most I got was "This is a bug and you should /bug it." nothing more.
Now, we've begun to suspect that it might also be items that other people purchase and do not pick up. I'm going to start testing this today, and hopefully 1 week later I'll have some information.
But just today I looked in the email box and it said an entire suit of STUN composite (we sell them in bags for the customer's convienence) had expired. I nearly had a heart attack. Either way, this has to be fixed.
While we are currently trying to organize a rudimentary accounting system to see sales, and keep accurate information, we could be loosing quite a few credits to items that suddenly dissapear off the vendor after it's 30 days are up.
I know vendors are buggy, I've put items on a vendor only to have them fall off RIGHT after I put it up for a price. This here suggests the clock for setting the timers on items can get a bit wonky.
Has anyone else encountered these issues? and if so, what have you done to combat them?

It does appear to be items that people forget to collect.
With the change that dropped items straight into peoples inventories, most folks have gotten lazy and forget to check that the item has actually been deposited in their backpack. They then run off, purchase some more things, get back to wherever they are going and forget all about it (or assume they accidentally deleted in).
It would be nice if you could check the vendor to see if items are waiting to be collected or forgotten about. That would allow you (as a good merchant should) to contact the purchaser and say "oi, you forgot your goods".

I have got a mail for expired items without warning as Arratarr described.
I'm new at merchant and i checked the problems on this forum. I care about the warning mail and i received some warning mails about which dropped to stockroom. I followed and re-listed these items. Also i live around my home and dont go hunt or anything away from my vendors, so i can check everytime my vendors. But last time i received this mail without any warning that i can take it from stockroom. Sudden death
I stocks my bulk resources in one of my vendor. I check always the dates remaining, and i re-list them not the end of 30days, every 15days.. but it bores me day by day, i beleive if there is a bug it will solve.

Yep, this has happened to me and a collegue of mine several times. I had a theory that it might be due to when I clicked Withdraw Sale and the Retrieved the item from the stockroom, that somehow the vendor kept a record of the item in the stockroom or something.. but that doesn't quite seem to be the case. I haven't investigated further.

I'm having the following problems:
I get a singleemail saying theauction for anitem has been unsuccessful. The item isn'tin my stockroom. This never seems to happen if I have multiple items fall off the vendor at one time.
I get an email saying an item expired. I never got an email saying the auction was unsuccessful however.
I put an item on a vendor and it falls off within a few days.
I've submitted bug reports, tried live chat. The CSRs are clueless (not a flame, but they simply don't seem to be able to grasp what I'm trying to tell them). So basically what I've done to combat the situation? Log off, scream, eat some ice cream, then log back in and get back to work.

I had a crate of 6 acid rifle that went to the stock room.
So i put it back in my crate vendor, about 30 mins late
I got a mail that the crate of 6 acid rifle had expire again
and I know it was the same crate because all my other
crates of acid rifle have 7 in them, that crate was the end
of the factory run. But when I went to look in the stockroom
it was not there. 7 day later I got the deleted mail. Someone
needs to fix this bug.
