What criteria must be met before you can request a CSR remove an abandoned vendor from your shop?
It's a small bartender droid vendor and I currently have it concealed beneath an end table with a small potted plant sitting on it. Worked quite well, but I'd like to free up that spot in my tent for another merchant's vendor. It's front and center when you come in the door.

I've only had one removed for a player that had deleted their character and there was no problem having it done.
If the CSR sees that the vendor is empty and has 0 maintenance in it, I don't see why they wouldn't remove it for you since at that point there would be nothing lost by the player that owns it.
If it's empty but has maintenance, try to get them to reimburse the player and remove the vendor.
Worst case scenario, re-deed the building.
That's the approach I would use if I were in this situation.

I had the same situation in one of my shops, empty vendor, and I hadn't seen the owner online in quite some time. I filled out a ticket, and a CSR had the vendor gone within a couple of days at most. Just explain the situation, and tell them the name of the vendor in question. If you remember the owner's name, that helps too.

I had another issue with an abandoned object that a CSR was able to solve.
There was a minefield next to one of my buildings that was keeping me away from prime real estate.
That minefield had been there pretty much since the first houses in the game started showing up.
I asked a CSR to look and see if the player was even still around.
They said that they were and that they were an active player on the server so there was nothing they could do to remove it.
They did, however, send an email to the player reminding them that they had a minefield and where it was.
It was gone the next day.
My 'retail complex' grew almost immediately thereafter.
