Thread: weird bug--when I destroy a vendor in inventory, it still takes up space. HELP!
Hello, all. I've submitted a CS ticket in game on this but they'll be slow in responding and so I thought I'd try here, too. I can't imagine I'm the only one who's had this problem.
I bought novice merchant today so that I could hire an NPC vendor for my tailor shop and junk the money pit droid I was using. Well, at novice you of course get random NPCs, and I wanted one I was happy with the look of. So I used the structure management panel to repeatedly create vendors, and if I didn't like one, I'd go directly into inventory and destroy the one I didn't want. After I'd done this numerous times (I'm very picky and wanted a human without a pot belly, or maybe a nice twi'lek, but I was having no luck), I started getting the message that the panel couldn't create a vendor because my inventory was full. I looked at my carrying capacity, and it only registered as being at 45% or so. I tried picking up other things in my shop, and got the same message.
It seems that when I was destroying the vendors, the game wasn't registering that the inventory space was to be freed up when one dispappeared. So now I have around 40% of my carrying capacity, and can't even pick up my crafting bag with my factory components in it now. Basically, I've broken my character.
Has anyone else encountered this problem, and if so, did you figure out a way to fix it? Also, I've submitted a CS ticket, but is there any other place I should report this and any way I can speed up the response time? It can literally take days on Lowca before you get your problem addressed. I figured I'd come here, as the merchant community is most familiar with the problems surrounding vendors. Any assistance would be MOST appreciated.
Seems like I'm running into a major panic inducing bug every few days now. Must be playing too much.
