Just got back from the hospital - ya, a few days R&R never hurt anyone....

Well, guess what? In those 3 or 4 days ALL my droids dropped off my vendor and got DELETED!

DELETED!!!

No game I have EVER played DELETED my goods, PERIOD.

I don't care about more useless mails. DELETING merchants products DOES-NOT-WORK.

How many of us found out about this 'feature' the hard way???????

It took me awhilereading to figure out why my goods were DISAPPEARING off my vendor with no notice.

And most players DO NOT keep up on these forums.

They want to PLAY THE GAME, not READ FORUMS.

Rules and instructions to play a game are not an afterthough to be added on some 'official' forum that we're all expected to keep tabs on to learn/know how to play the game.

"When Sony and Lucas set out, we said, How can we do this and not make another EQ? We didn't want it to be all about Luke, or combat, or lock our players into a class. So we created a system that would allow players to switch professions during the game, and there would be a lot of gameplay around making that change. If you want to go from architect to scout we've created a system to make that happen."

Yeah I was away for 2 and a half weeks. I put some crates off food up before I left fully knowing they would be taken down in a week. but imagine my suprise when the half of my crates that were not sold where completely missing.

something else disturbing. I bought stuff on the bazaar yesterday but was unable to go retrieve it. Today it is gone completely.

Fortunately the customer service emails are not working or else SOE might have to actually work on it. Not that they would do anything about it anyway. No proof.

Since my job requires me to be away for weeks at a time merchant is completely useless to me. So much for this game being for the casual player.

THE DECEMBER 6TH BUG

This is starting to make me mad. They disabled items on corpses because people were losing stuff... I can't see as it would be terribly difficult to disable some element of this system until they find a better fix. I just submitted this note to the feedback page... join the chorus at
http://starwarsgalaxies.station.sony.com/submit_feedback.jsp?page=Submit%20Feedback if you want:

There's a serious problem with being a merchant of any kind: the combination of items both getting kicked into the stockroom after 7 days and evaporating off of the vendor if left in the stockroom for more than a day or so (I've heard 72 hours, but I've also heard shorter, so I'm not sure). The worst part about it is the fact that items will be deleted if left in Available Items or the Stockroom is NOT MENTIONED ANYWHERE IN GAME. I get a nearly useless email telling me when my "Auction" (even though it wasn't) was "Unsuccessful"... but that email tells me nothing other than the name of the item. It doesn't tell me where it was, where to pick it up, or most importantly, that there is a time limit, much less what that limit is.

As a result, tons of people are having the experience that they go out of town unexpectedly or have another real-life issue come up (one guy just posted on the merchant boards that he just got out of the hospital after a four-day stay) and finding most or all of their stock gone. It's one thing to make a game so compelling that people *want* to play it all the time, but having people's stuff just disappear if they don't log in for a few days isn't acceptable.

I urge you to immediately fix this by at the very least changing the 7-day time limit on player vendors *and* adding a note about the time limit to the email notifications, and look for a longer-term fix that is balanced within the game world. Leaving it as-is isn't a tenable position.
